OCeptember Day 4: First Love

Going back to my roots with this one 😂😅
I must admit, I felt a pang through my chest as I was sketching them... It's been literal years since I've drawn them together... I really think I missed it but never realized it... I also had fun designing her post-war outfit! This takes place before she became 'Chubby Bird Mom'~

Long post, here we go!

So, to start off, very few people have known me from when I first made her(Aria). For those who don't, here's some quick backstory:
Young me in Highschool was OBSESSED with Naruto. I still am. But my ultimate love was/is the sweetheart that is Gaara. I've loved him since he was a psychopathic killer and I love him even more that he's a cactus-growing adoptive dad.
Well, I loved him so much that I specifically made a character/self-insert to be with him. That character was Aria! (It was also a bit of a comfort thing, but I digress)
Since then, she's obviously grown quite a bit and moved from self-insert love interest to being her own thing. Buuuuut I was still fond of the story, so I managed to squeeze it in her timeline with Hotaru. 😊
So the story has become this-
They still have the same beginning and all that they've always had. Friends in childhood, he attacked her when he lost control after the whole Yashemaru thing. she hated him until the Chunin exams, they were friends again, whatever. But what changed was that they never got married and all like her original storyline, like how she does with Hotaru. Instead, they only have a little dating fling thing!

It was after the war(hence the outfits), and before she got together with Hotaru. ... In fact, I'm almost 100% sure Hotaru may have been the one to shove her into the poor guy and make her ask him out.
It honestly didn't last too incredibly long, but they split up mutually and still remain great friends. She's still the 'village guardian' until she and Hotaru work together to rebuild the Shade Village. 😃

But yeah! There ya go. A little bit of fun story stuff as well as some amazing nostalgia for myself. I may have to work on more with them just because... I really do enjoy working with them, and I forgot how cute they were... QuQ
