Sarafina Givving Baraka His Lunch
Sarafina is an excellent mother. While on one of her morning Patrols for the Kingdom of the Pridelands, she came upon an very small and young Lion Cub named Baraka. He was barely older then a baby cub. A toddler at best. The scent of his parents were long vanished, and the cub's scent didn't match any scent of her pride sisters, so Sarafina concluded that the Cub had been abandoned by another pride. Being a mother already to Nala, maternal instinct took over and she brought little Baraka to Pride Rock, where Mufasa did not hesitate to allow him to join the pride. Many found it cute that he had the striped markings on his legs. It made him unique, and had it not been for the stripes and blue eyes he had, he would have been mistaken for Simba's brother.
Simba, Nala and their friends, were excited to know there was another cub in the pride, and he was the youngest, so the cubs felt it their responsibility to teach him all their games and tricks. Nala would definitely teach her new little brother her signature move that she used whenever Simba tried to pounce her, so that Simba wouldn't use Baraka's size and age to his advantage. But they also knew they had to take it slow, since Baraka was new to the pride, and very shy around everyone. He trusted Sarafina enough, since she had brought him to a sheltered area of the Pridelands the Lions called Pride Rock, and had got him out of the scorching heat and away from the hungry buzzards who were ready to make him their meal. Sarafina and the Lionesses understood to no rush things, and get him nervous around them. The only one who didn't approve of the cub's arrival was Scar, but his voiced opinion was heard, and overruled by everyone else in the pride. Even Zira was approving of the cub's presence. And thankfully Sarafina's maternal instincts had also allowed her to produce milk, which she was thankful for, since Baraka was far too young to be eating meat yet. He still had his baby spots, so mother's milk was what he needed. And Sarafina also saw this as a blessing, cause it would allow her to develop a bond with Baraka as he was raised under her care.
Right now, Sarafina has brought Baraka to the cub nursery, behind Pride Rock, to give him his lunch. This nursery is where most of the cubs his age were looked after, and even where the older cubs would play sometimes, as well as get their baths. A place Simba tries to spend as little time as possible in, when he can. Sarafina gives a maternal smile as she watches her little Baraka contently have his meal to help him grow strong.
