I never saw this, I feel like an awful person now. The whole painting took about 3 hours I think, but I probably spent maybe 30ish minutes on the tree. To be honest I probably tapped a lot more into rendering gore and flesh for it then an actual tree. Yeah, I highly recommend abusing some blur filters, it can really make a piece look really nice with minimal effort!
