It was obvious from the moment the young man first walked into the mind mage's classroom that, while rough and unrefined, there was untapped potential hidden within.
This was why he agreed to take Edmund on in the first place, to help mold him in the best version of himself that was possible. And the first step in learning to control one's power is to unlock it in the first place.
To his credit, the apprentice took to his magical training as well as his body clearly took to his physical equivalent. After months of meditation, concentration, and study, he was ready to tap into the vast power both of them knew was waiting to be coaxed out.
And when it was, it burst forth like it had been waiting for centuries to finally be free. Like the psionicist's own powers, they were mighty. Though instead of the subtle nuances of the mind, it raged like the lightning. Roared like the tides and the raging winds. A tempest that, when focused, would be a force that could move mountains.
A storm was coming, ready to make his mark on the world...
...just as soon as they clean up the training hall.
Another excellent piece from Marsel-Defender
I'm sure none of you here are surprised that Edmund is more than just a pretty face with a mountain of muscle backing it up. He came to Enigma for multiple reasons, but one of which was to be trained under him.
So here he is, Edmund the Storm Mage.

I best be careful flying whenever he uses his magic. Lightning storms are not fun.
Definitely can be an issue for you flying types, for sure. Though once I fully train him up, he'll be able to keep you safe in a natural storm.
Heh. You jest, but anything that can absorb lightning would definitely make it more difficult for him to use his magic. That said, rain and wind is also part of a storm.
And he's still a walking wall of muscle.
And he's still a walking wall of muscle.
I can just imagine the look on his face.
After years of training and hard study, Edmund finally reached his full potential allowing him to cast lightning powerful enough to destroy mountains, so many years of discipline, hard work, meditation, and effort, he will finally be able to become a real master of storms and beat anyone who dares to cross his path!
Then get beaten by a guy with a metal stick...

Edmund:
Now I'm going to finish you with my most powerful lightning of destruction!!!
Someone: U can't lol
Edmund: What? I studied and trained for years to finally be able to do this, you can't possibly stop it!
Someone: I know but he can
sticks a metal stick to the ground in front of him

Lol. Even the strongest of spells has a weakness. And besides, no mind mage worth his salt leaves home without brushing up on counter magic.
So do I. :D
The storm has yet to come, but when it does... it'll be great.
