The Demands

Bring to me a gentle heart
a mind of understanding
A body, only torn apart
A will that was left standing
Bring to me the lore of old
The picture of an answer
The whispers lost to the untold
That grew into a cancer
Bring to me a gentle man
A heart of warmth and Iron
A pair of legs with strength to stand
A soul left uninspired
Bring to me my enemy
A anima who wronged
A vengence made for reverie
A statement of the 'strong'
Bring to my answered prayers
A life left growing tall
A time best lived amongst the scared
And all the bad ones fall

Your works never cease to amaze me. I don't know too many other poets who tell stories as well as you do, my friend. You really paint emotions on the canvas of poetry. :3
