“So, B", long time no see!” One of the Kidents said to him.
“Yes, Mark, very true indeed,” Bergus replied. “And Joe, you all right?”
“Yeah, I"m still working, so that proves it!” Joe replied, waving his left front tyre shyly at him.
Bergus chuckled and the sighed a little. “Yeah...for you maybe,”
Joe and Mark noticed Bergus" change in attitude and tone and were quite confused about what had changed it.
“Something wrong, mate?” Joe asked.
Bergus looked down and playfully twisted his front right tyre.
“Playing footsies ain"t telling us a thing, bud",” Mark added. “You can tell us anything, we"ll understand.”
“It"s...ah...how do I tell you?” Bergus said sadly.
“You got beef with another motor?” Joe asked. “I wouldn"t worry. Max, an Ennivo 400 MMC we have will sort it out, don"t you worry.”
“No, no, no...it"s no problems with others…it"s with me,” Bergus quietly replied.
“What, B"? You"re starting to make me a little nervous now,” Mark firmly said.
Bergus took a deep breath and then told the two Kident"s the truth. “I"m not going to live to see the dawn of July,”
The Kidents gasped slightly and stopped breathing for a moment, the pupils in their eyes now smaller from shock. It took a few seconds for them to regain their normal composure, and when they did, their expressions were now of sorrow and gloom.
