As a writer, I had written a novel sort of similar. It was based on 2 soldiers and through something "unknown" one becomes a female Iksar (the lizard people from Everquest).
Maybe I should rewrite it and modernize it for D&D world.

Hmm... if a human tried to do that to Omni as a Scav, they'd feel a staff tip at their chest and a deadly glare that would sent chills down their spine to the very soul, but if they persist, they'll suddenly feel out of breath and collapse w/ no energy until they can breath normally again.
