Fonts and Vore Sound-Effects

A thing I did after talking to some friends about how now and then we'd see SFX (Sound Effects) in vore art that would use the stock Arial font for the gurgles and such, which.... Doesn't look good on SFX like those.
So I went through some of the Free fonts from Blambot and used them in some vore drawings to show them off. This took me six to seven hours to do, and the lines are still sloppy as heck. This is why I hate doing sequences, by the way. Anyway, in the future I might ink these and upload them individually too :>
Links to the free fonts:
Mighty Zeo 2
Milk Mustache
Indie Star
Blowhole
Full Bleed
Ripsnort
Torn Asunder
Letter-O-Matic!
Restless Soul
The font "Dearly Departed" is also a fantastic one for gurgles and stuff, but it's commercial and priced at $20. Linking it just in case though.

They look so nice, I thought you hand-drew your SFX! :o
It's a mix for me. Sometimes I hand-draw it, sometimes I use fonts :>
i like how you used the meme here, always go PLUS ULTRA! when using fonts.
Helpful tips! I never really understood proper font usage much myself, but these tips actually help me understand the characteristics that a font can have.
There's some finer things I'm still figuring out, but Blambot has a real nice article on the topic: https://blambot.com/pages/lettering-tips
It doesn't go over style effects though, which is another subject unto itself as well.
One thing I forgot to add was making the text 'pop'. See, even nice fonts can look off if it's just typed in a line like a word document. Having it deform and bend makes it stand out and look more "fluid".
Photoshop has Text Deformation tools ("Rise", "Arc", and "Fisheye" are my favs) but there's also arranging letters individually. The latter gives you more control at the cost of taking more time to work with.
I don't know how other software handle Text though, so things like SAI might not have tools like that so arranging letters individually's may be the only option then.

Nice collection! I was always using "Chiller" because it looks silly (and was lazy to look for anything else) o3o

Blambot has a lot of nice fonts ^^
Most of them are commercial though (Usually $20 or so) but these were some nice free ones.

Ooooh heck, this is probably going to be useful for me, who does a fair bit of photo editing sometimes and doesn't have a good way to do onomatopoeia! Definitely gonna grab some of these x3
One thing I neglected to add (Didn't think of it until someone brought it up) was positioning them.
Photoshop has a way of distorting the text, like making it arc or bend, or making it wavy. So it can follow the surface of a throat bulge or whatever, and look more dynamic. I don't know how other programs handle this though, but one universal way of handling it is to simply type out part of the word and then position them manually to look nice.

I love Blambot's fonts!
"Vaporized" (Free!), "Death Ratttle" (Free!), and the appropriately-named "Entrails" ($20) are also good ones for these purposes.

very good info, very helpful. being a fan of loud and noisy guts and bellies, knowing what texts work for SFX makes me happy...... and hungry..
Huh, never noticed how sound effects can look nice with vary small differences.
I usually just hand draw I think, but this is helpful!
I'll give them a look. The few times I've drawn the sound effects I've done them by hand. I'm not sure the program I use can support making them as an outline.
When it comes to SFX sometimes I do it by hand, sometimes I use fonts - sometimes its a mix of both~ ^^
I never really thought about fonts in this sense, but now that I've seen it, it makes total sense! Fonts can convey detail in subtle ways!
It's interesting how much of a difference a choice in fonts can make :>
Omg thank you, so helpful! I'm so bad at hand drawing my own SFX, using these fonts will save me time and braincells x3
athelind a few messages up listed a few more good ones :>
And welcome! A good organic looking font really adds to the scenes~
