Elizabeth however wanted a union between the two of them knowing well that they were no doubt the most powerful of their kind and an alliance would make them unstoppable and even if Dracula's attitude toward her was less than favorable, his compliance wasn't really relevant to her knowing that all she needed to do was control his heir. She proved how far was was really willing to go when she Forced Dracula into bed with her and bore his child. This would enrage Dracula and a war ensued between the two.
Elizabeth was a cruel mother to Ella, torturing and even bleeding her for her own amusement but her salvation would come at the hands of her father who had managed to storm her fortress and behead the countess... Ella was terrified but she sensed the man who committed the act was her own father. Dracula however couldn't bring himself to kill Ella and took her in to raise her with some measure of love and compassion that a vampire like him could manage. Ella was happy but as she got older her emerging power began to worry and even frighten Dracula... He feared that if Ella was even steer down a wrong path she could destroy the planet but he learned some time ago that unlike him his own daughter was much harder to kill if not impossible so care was taken to raise her properly, teaching her right and wrong and even the benefits of compassion.
Ella took her father's lesson's to heart and despite being a blood thirsty creature, Ella wasn't a heartless killer in fact she demonstrated a care for her victims that was never seen in a vampire... She's only bit enough to draw blood but never caused pain and tended to the person's wounds afterward releasing them or comforting them if they were about to die.
Needless to say Ella didn't take the death of her father very well in fact she found the event to be very devastating to the point that she feared for her future and started to hunt down the people responsible. She's struck down many hunters some of which she made disappear without a trace.
When all her rivals were gone Ella took to reading and studying ancient vampire culture and their interactions with humanity. The accounts of vampires living in the open with humanity was one of her personal favorites specifically where the two species formed a symbiotic relationship of blood and nourishment in exchange for protection. Ella Grew concerned that both vampire and human were loosing their way so in order to prepare for the worst chase scenario she began cultivating her own army of damphires by infusing human fetus with her own blood while there were still in their mother's womb, this practice became easier when blood transfusions became common practice.
