I love the small nod to Howl's Moving Castle here. You replaced the word table with furniture but still an easy reference to spot!
Yup! I was right on the last page: Howl's Moving Castle reference! xD But wait, "disposed" King Illeroi? I thought this comic took place before/during "The Silk Sash"? Unless I'm remembering things wrong.
But now I have a better idea of what Taryn was whispering to Pa'kur: the location of the sword!
But now I have a better idea of what Taryn was whispering to Pa'kur: the location of the sword!
This takes place following the events of The Silk Sash, so King Illeroi has already been overthrown :)
Awesome... though now the question is how did Illeroi lose his sword in the first place... I wonder if that played a role in how Pa'kur's tribe was winning the war.
Oh yes, and headcanon/prediction time: King Illeroi and his son are now slaves to the horses; they wearing nothing but simple loincloths and spend their days tied to stakes and gagged; they're only un-gagged in order for them to eat and drink; and they're only untied in order to help out with menial chores - though even then their ankles are still tied so that the can walk, but not run. Both kitties are in complete shock and meekly submit to their equine owners. x3
IDK if stealing the sword that won that battle is the best idea... Methinks it's probably linked the king's mental decline, since you don't get something magically powerful without some amount of kickback!
