Portrait of an Otter Gentleman (4h)
... for the absolutely wonderful 
Partran! This was actually kind of an experimental piece for me (even if it doesn't look it)-- I wound up doing a quick and dirty less-than-hour sculpt bash of the fellow's face in Blender, complete with something approaching a crude simulacrum of his outfit, to have for a custom lighting/volume map that was then incorporated matte painting style, and it really worked a charm! I feel like getting the model done saved me a lot of time deliberating on my painting in the end. I've actually got a new piece for him currently that I'm debating a similar strategy with-- we'll see how it turns out!

This is honestly stunning. Absolutely beautiful, superb use of the lighting and colors, and an insane amount of detail.
The amount of details on the fur and whiskers is remarkable, the lighting is perfect and the expression defibitely gives him nobility. Absolutely stunning portrait !
This a masterpiece of a portrait. Your time and effort has paid off here. The detail in this incredible. Its almost looking at a real otter, with the fur and whiskers. The way you've cast the lighting over him, really give him the air of nobility. The stare from the eyes gives me the impression that he's very intellectual.
