An old drawing and sketches of Prince Vince from “Beetlejuice” cartoon series. Prince Vince is totally one of my faves (Beetlejuice and Lydia) from the show. He’s such a cutie who was inpsired by VIncent from Burton’s titled short film, since Burton was an executive producer in the cartoon show).
Though, not only he was inspired by Vincent from Burton’s titled short, but he is like both Hamlet and Romeo (since I watched Shakespeare’s Animated Tales… and that Vince is both Shakespearean and Poe-ish), and some other tragic fairy tale character (original-Little Mermaid, etc) as a combination because of his gloomy trait.
FWI: He is NOT an emo. There's a HUGE differences between being depressive and an emo. Sure, he is a gloomy character..... But come on! Whenever he gets sad/depress the rain cloud appeared on top of him (As in "feeling under the weather" (DUH)). Sure, he did overreacted to Lydia's comment of "Just being friends instead of relationship." BUT Lydia said to Prince Vince that having friends are more important; "Think of all the fun we had. Think of all the friends you made." Thanks to Lyds, Vince realized that having friends makes him happy without an end. In fact, in "Prince of Rock and Roll," he got over with his first crush instead because he moved on. All Prince Vince wanted is to have friends (his only pals are Beetlejuice and Lydia) and be love by his own people (unlike his condescending castle staff, who dislike his traits). In fact, he’s like most people in reallity - represent as a person with severe depression (especially feel like being hated by his/her own peers). Get the picture?
Seriously, if you love either Victor Van Dort or Vincent Malloy, then you should enjoy this character, too. Prince Vince is such a great character, and he needs some love.
SO... Long live Princerino Sunshine.
