So for this story I'm going back to a first person perspective and considering there's only one creature with intelligence in this story, I think it works out well for this. This story kinda combines my two main interests, modularity and vore. Plus, there isn't too much plant vore either.

Well this was a new part of the world I was in. It is a dense jungle which I had found while exploring. Before I go on, my name's Glace. I'm a female Eevee. Yeah I know, another one, but I do have a lot of brothers back home. I think I'm the only daughter in a family of 10 total young Eevee's. I'm actually rarer than just being a female Eevee, I'm a shiny female Eevee. But that's all a story for another time. I'm here all alone, I'm a solo adventurer and researcher, specialising in plants. I know it isn't really safe, but at the same time, it's part of the thrill for me.
Anyway, the reason I'm out here is because I'm chasing up on some rumours and stories that I have heard. There's tales of a rare type or carnivorous plant. Supposedly while the plant does feed on other pokemon it doesn't do so in a lethal manner, which to me sounds absolutely crazy. I mean there are ways to survive being consumed, but this talks about not needing any of those defensive measures.
Anyway, I had set up a camp that I could go back to whenever I needed to while I went on my exploration. It was just a simple camp, but it had everything I needed. I was away from the camp and taking in all of the delightful sights in the jungle. Of course I had to dodge hungry pokemon as well, mainly so it didn't slow down my expedition into the forest. But during that I did catch scents in the air. Most of it was of sweet plants, many of which I had known about.
But there was one scent which was slightly different to what I was used to. It seemed to have a richer scent, one that i can't really describe as easily. Given I was hunting for something like that I couldn't help myself. I had to follow it to the source to find out what kind of plant was producing this scent. What I found was a type of plant I had never seen before. Try and picture a pitcher plant, only it's upside down and hanging down from a stem overhead and set above the leaves of a venus fly trap. It was large enough to get me, I could see that easily.
My sense of danger told me that this plant wasn't a safe plant just by looking at it. But because it was a new plant I was too curious about it. I tried to get as close to the plant as possible and duck down to peer up inside the open end of the inverted pitcher section. What I saw inside was. What I saw on the inside was surprising. there were upward pointing barbs inside the 'mouth' of the Pitcher plant. At the back of the plant was the source of the scent though, a bulb which was dripping out nectar.
I had a feeling of what happened. My best guess was the fly trap leaves were for larger prey while the inverted pitcher plant was for smaller prey and the barbs were there to stop prey that had gotten in from getting out. I suspected that they closed up when something was provoked.
I then had a brainwave. I went and grabbed a nearby stick that was next to a tree and being very careful, I was feeding the stick up into the plant and teasing the bulb where the nectar came from. As I thought that made the barbs start closing up, but it also made the leaf below close and I had to step back. but when the leaves were closed up I could get a good look at the plant. With the leaves closed up, the 'lips' of the leaves touched the very base of the inverted pitcher part of the plant.
However after a few seconds, the plant relaxed and was unfolding. Maybe it realised what was fed inside was the stick? This was changing my guess, maybe it also needed something in the fly trap style leaves as well to be fully active, but there wasn't any kind of pokemon around I could try and feed to the plant. Plus I really wasn't that kind of individual, it seemed really cruel to do something like that to another. I was hesitant, but finally I took a deep breath. "The things I do for research."
I had my defensive measures on me, a golden seed which I kept in my fur. But for this test I had to really bite the bullet. I set the seed down and away from the plant so I wouldn't have it. Normally I would have this on, but because the plant is supposed to be able to do it non-lethally without such a measure, I'm taking a huge risk by doing this. First I stepped right on the leaves of the fly trap part. I could feel trigger hairs on them, but even when I brushed two of them they didn't react, which made me wonder if another trigger was needed.
I still remembered the stick test but this was the most tense part of the situation. I knew what I had to do. I looked up into the opening of the upturned pitcher half and all the barbs lining the mouth. If I tried to pull back when I stuck my head inside, they would go right into my neck. That was an obvious thing to me, but it looked like if I was to do the test then I would have no choice but to bite the bullet. I took one final deep breath, then closed my eyes and pushed my head into the opening.
When my head was inside, the scent of the nectar was much stronger, which made sense. I was right at the source. My tongue could lick at the bulb which produced the nectar. Remembering that touching the bulb was the trigger, I licked the bulb. This also told me one other thing, the nectar was sweet and rich with flavour. It was one of the most incredible thing I had ever tasted. But this also triggered the plant. The leaves I was standing on closed up tight around me and from both the leaves and the neck of the pitcher, barbs were press at my neck. I was hesitant to wriggle, since then I risked the barbs piercing my skin.
But my body was also pressing against the trigger hairs in the leaves. maybe because I was also licking the bulb, they weren't closing. At least the plant was giving me a lot of the nectar to drink, but the nectar was giving me another sensation, a warm sensation which seemed to be filling me with vitality. I was feeling stronger and healthier in myself, which got me wondering what uses this nectar could have. I was wishing I could take a sample safely.
One thing i was aware of was that the leaves of the plant were squeezing tighter on my body. It was much tougher for me to move as a result, plus if I pulled my head too much the barbs would pierce my neck. That was my thought but after what must have been 20 minutes, they were doing that anyway. As soon as I felt it my eyes widened and I gasped. But it was odd, there was no pain. It was more a dull feeling, like pressing up against a wall. Only the feeling was right in my neck from multiple sides.
It felt like something was starting to push into my neck after another few minutes. My nerves kept me still but my heart was pounding. I had put aside my defence for coming back, which may have been a huge mistake at this point. Yet why it didn't hurt was bothering me. One would think that when something was going into the neck there would be an indescribable pain, but there was nothing. But then I felt a sudden loss of pressure or sensation around my neck. I tried to glance back and move, but my confines made me unable to. But I couldn't even twist my neck, which was especially odd.
However after thinking for a minute, I realised just what had happened to me. I could feel the barbs that had gone in my neck but the barbs no longer felt like they were going through my neck, more like my neck was resting on them. My eyes widened again as the realisation set in. I had been decapitated by the plant, yet I was still alive and very much aware. Yet at the base of my neck was this numb sensation. I couldn't feel the rest of my body, nor could I move. I tried to speak, but nothing came out of my mouth.
The realisation of the situation was hitting me. This was a plant which predated in a non-lethal manner. The upper part of the plant kept the prey's head alive while the leaves worked on the body. Even though i couldn't see or feel it, it only made sense to me that like a venus fly trap, the leaves would digest the body of the prey. But I also had another realisation. Venus Fly traps sometimes took a very long time to digest a single meal, if that was also true, I would be in this situation for a very long time.
At the same time, I didn't think it would be forever. And I had reason to think that, for I noticed another thing at the base of my neck. Among the numbness, I felt some patches of my neck which felt like they were healing, like when a cream to heal an injury is applied to it. Was it the nectar I had drunk which was doing that? Without anybody around I couldn't be sure what was going to happen. I just had this feeling that my body would be healed. I couldn't fully explain where the feeling came from.
The question I didn't have an answer for was, how long would that take?

To imagine that severed heads could still live long after decapitation is just... amazing.
i was hoping to At Least see if she was gonna be stuck as a head or not. It was semi-implied, but thats it.
You know, her being stuck as a head could be a fun interpreting it, if her body didn't heal and her thought was wrong
