"You go out on the balcony at night to enjoy some fresh air, only to see a set of glowing eyes staring at you silently from a corner. As your eyes adjust to the darkness, you can finally notice the figure of a small Ajshar standing as still as possible, probably hoping to go unnoticed. Judging by the tattered rags the non-human is wearing, they were probably looking for food or some new clothes...or maybe something even more valuable. What are you going to do?"
It's been a while since I've drawn a night scene, and I also realized I had never drawn the eyes of my cats glowing in the dark!
So, what better opportunity to draw Shadi being an adorable little gremlin and venturing in places where she shouldn't be? :D

Since I'm the kind of person that would be crazy enough to actually let the cougar into the house (or, you know, at least the garage or something and toss it some food), I'd at least offer her a drink and see where things went from there.

And I've just realized that I somehow forgot to fave this, but that's fixed now.
I am IN LOVE with that sky. Seriously, 0laff you're so good at coloring nighttime scenes! They're not too dark and not too bright. It's just right. :D

I. LOVE. IT. Great work, seriously. Noise just perfectly fit with picture and makes night atmosphere much deeper. And the sky... It's the perfection.
There are quite a few things that delight me about this picture but the sky in particular has a certain whimsy that speaks to me.
Not sure if I should be creeped out by this or not, on one hand the glowing eyes are creepy as hell, on the other its Shadi so....
I’d probably just stand there in silence staring back at her, cause there’s a cat person on my balcony. After that long amount of awkwardness I’d pass some fruit.

Well, more than likely my khajiit , dawning his thief regalia , would probably say that the place is already unburdened of valuables. Then toss a gold coin to the small night prowler before vanishing into the night . That or invite to rob a different house and split the goods

this is absolutly gorgious! how did you do the starlight? arcrylic white paint after you did the night sky?
Thank you so much mate! ^^ White tempera, "splashed" on the background using a still brush. The sky background is also tempera.
I think this is the first painting I've seen that got that creepy glowing-eyed cat look just right.

Here is to built in night vision! Love the pose and the night sky is fantastic. I could see this happening to the local craftsman who make Spectacles - trying out an idea he had - putting some of his lenses in a tube and looking at the stars from the roof top....

I've had that happen when using my telescope at night. Folks just seem to come wandering up and wanting to know what you are up to. I've also had assorted animals swing by at times

The shining of the tapetum is wonderful! I never seen anything like this in other pictures.

This is lovely. The sky is mesmerizing, giving a sense of tranquility. The shadowing of the buildings in background gives us a sense that we're deep in the city. I do like what you've done with the eyes and the clothes really do give us a sense of what her life is like.

Love that sky and the moonlight effect! I'd probably just be quiet and watch what she would do. Offer her a drink maybe and sit outside watching the stars?
