Hey all, I"m still working for my main job and it will be a few more months before I can share that work but I needed a short weekend break from it and I managed to paint something personal in that time.
It"s really difficult to find more time for anything other than work right now but when the project is done, I"ll be able to dedicate more time than ever to personal paintings and studies, art for patrons and a few commissions, I really miss FA work.
My Patreon (https://www.patreon.com/anthonyavon) has some previews of what I"m working on, and I really hope my Patreon content will explode when the project is done. This will be the first time in my life where I"ll be able to afford to just do art for the sake of art and I"ll finally be able to show my real gratitude to the people who support me and want to see me succeed.
And how fitting, gratitude is the theme of the story behind the the location depicted in this painting and the characters that live there. A story that I hope to finish through paintings one day, when I become a great artist capable of painting an entire fantasy world...

Honestly looks like Morrowind on the edge of Skyrim. Beautiful :3
Oh, hopefully not too much like it, I'm not really familiar with anything Skyrim, and I'm kinda trying to do something of my own here. x)
Not exactly hun, thats just kinda what it reminded me of.
I have missed seeing your art recently. Have you ever been interested in doing an Ancient Egyptian landscape?

I think it's bc of the spirals on the central pillars, kind of reminiscent of wood knots - but it's just a resemblance, not a source of confusion. Looks dope dude!
My job for the past few months included painting a looot of wood textures, I wouldn't be surprised if subconsciously I saw that shape and thought "aaah another tree trunk, I know just what to do with that!" x) But idk, looks rocky to me...
Caves is right the round carvings in the stone structures look much like rings in a tree. Still looks great.
This is fantastic in so many ways! Love the atmosphere you captured here!
Been pretty good, finally feeling like myself for the first time in a year.
Hope things have been going well on your end too!

Fantastic place! Old towers that've crumbled with time? Lighting is superb, as always! :)
