An art-trade story for my friend 
Monterrang, about Alphys from "Undertale" creating a living experiment.
(And the obvious consequences that such things can lead to.)
It was a real delight to come back and do some Undertale stuff, as Alphys is a pretty fun character to write about.
Undertale belongs to Toby Fox.
"Log number 14. Subject is showing great signs of improvement from last time. It has now grown to the size of a watermelon, and I think that it wont be long now until..." The incumbent Royal Scientist Alphys said to herself as she was taking notes on her latest experiment, before then getting more then a bit startled by a sudden "HOW'S IT GOING, DARLING?"
The very mechanical (And also pretty flamboyant) sounding voice came from none other then Mettaton, a robotic creature with the soul of a ghost that Alphys helped build.
Ever since then he has been acting as her "assistant", even if he liked to focus more on his home-made TV-shows then actually helping the doctor.
There was also the fact that ever since finding his "true self" Alphys still hadn't got used to seeing those long slender looking legs, being also connected to that same old box design of his body.
"I-It's going w-well." Alphys stuttered out, as she had a habit of always getting more nervous and unsure of things when being near someone else.
"EXCUSE ME FOR ASKING THIS, BUT WHAT EXACTLY IS THAT THING OVER THERE?!" Mettaton asked in both shock and disgust as one of his mechanical arms pointed towards a big glass jar, which held what looked like a floated slime ball inside of it.
"This here is probably the most important break in science of all time." Alphys explained while sounding very proud as she then said, "What I have here is my very own creation of life!"
Mettaton just remained silent for some time (Simply starring at the wiggling goo inside of the glass jar), before then saying "NO OFFENCE HUN, BUT THAT THING LOOKS EVEN MORE GROSS THEN ANYTHING MADE FROM UNDYNE'S COOKING."
This made Alphys sigh a little bit as she told the robot that, "When dealing with science we can't ask for perfection right away. We need first to make sure this thing is able to live and grow like other creatures."
"AND DOES IT DO THAT?" Mettaton's obvious question to that was, which Alphys did have prepared a pretty strong answer to.
"Why, yes, In fact, I have been keeping daily records of it ever day since it was created, and all these details are 100% true to the core!" Alphys said super proudly, which in return gave her a slow clap from Mettaton.
"W-Wha...? What was that for?" Alphys asked confused as Mettaton responded, "OH, NOTHING. JUST VERY PROUD OVER HOW YOU ARE CLEARLY NOT ASHAMED AT ALL OVER YOUR WHOLE NERD CHARACTER. YOU GO GIRL!" (And even though his voice often sounded the same no matter what he said, Alphys could defiantly make out a clear tone of sarcasm in that last part.)
Tossing him the book of notes in frustration Alphys told Mettaton, "This actually means a lot to me, so if you don't want to help me out then please leave me alone now!" all while Mettaton was reading through the notes she had been making of her slime creature.
"I SEE HERE THAT YOU HAVE WRITTEN DOWN THAT IT IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR THE CONTAINER HOLDING THE THING TO BE...WARMED UP ALL THE TIME?" Mettaton asked a bit unsure as Aplhys said, "The thing seems to grow best when it is being inside of something that makes it feel warm and safe, so that is why."
"I SEE..." Mettaton said as he put down the notebook next to Aplhys's desk, before then starting to make his way out of her lab.
"OH, BY THE WAY!" Mettaton said as he was by the door, making Alphys look over and ask "What is it now?"
"NOTHING. JUST THOUGHT YOU WERE LOOKING PRETTY "HOT" TODAY, DARLING." Mettaton said before exiting the place, leaving Alphys blushing a bit while saying "Uhm...thanks?" to herself.
Continuing on studying the contained creature Alphys started to notice how the slimy thing was suddenly starting to grow a lot more rapidly, as the jar it was held in was starting to show a lot of cracks in the glass!
Alphys wasn't sure why it was suddenly acting this way, and as she saw how container holding it was about to burst she only had time to let out a "Oh dear!" before it all started to blow!
Dodging for any shards of glass flying around Alphys saw how even the jar's liquid that the creature had been floating in came splashing everywhere, which lead to it soaking the heat-wave lamp warming the jar to get busted!
Looking on in shock over seeing the creature she had helped create almost looming over her with it's shapeless body, Alphys wasn't sure at all over what it would do to her now when it was set free?
Without being trapped inside of it's tight space the thing was able to expand so it was almost as big as her, and if her eyes wasn't misguiding her it almost looked like the slime creature was...shivering?
"It seems to rely on that heat source from the lamp a lot more then I first realized." Alphys thought to herself, before then seeing the thing looking at her with certain interest.
As it got closer Alphys tried to carefully step back, but ending up tripping over her own tail the Dino scientist soon found herself falling over onto her back, with the slime beast starring down at her.
Alphys wanted to just scream for help right now, but as soon as she open her mouth the creature suddenly took charge and came diving head first (Or at least assuming it was its "head") straight into her mouth!
The eyes of Alphys went straight out in utter shock over both the taste and feeling of the slime creature entering itself into her mouth, and working it's way down into her belly chamber! (Strangely enough having the thing taste almost like fish)
Being unable to grasp onto the thing with her hands (as they would just sink right through it) Alphys was left with no choice but to remain pinned to the ground, as the thing she had helped create was devouring itself into her!
Her already pretty chubby gut started to bulge out quite a bit from all the content working it's way inside, as pretty much all of the buttons on her coat ended up popping open as her scaly middle kept on expanding!
Once finally all of the slimy thing had found itself inside of Alphys's body was she able to fully take in just how packed and tight her belly now felt, as she now looked almost like she was 9 month of pregnant in her gut.
"Mettaton was right." Alphys thought to herself. "Once that light was broken my own body would be the warmest place for a creature like this to rest inside of."
From inside of her stomach she could feel the slime mass settling down and finding rest inside of her, as the feeling of it inside of her actually felt strangely relaxing. (Once getting past the small pains of her scales stretching out to hold it all.)
Resting there with her coat busted open, a belly filled to the brim, and a creature she wasn't even sure was going to later come out of her, or end up getting turned into fat later on, Alphys did understand now that there is a lot more work into creating a life then she had first thought it would be.
"All I know now is that this is going to lead to the most bizarre part of my journals so far, later on." Alphys said as she could barley get up with her big belly pinning her down, and therefore decided to instead give it a long rest as the creature inside of her also fell asleep.
