Bio:
John Shepherd is Dudley Puppy's distant cousin, since Herman Puppy is their ancestor. Dudley and John actually live in the same house with Peg, Dudley's mom, and John's parents, Kathy and Joe. After graduating from high school, John was unsure of what to do with his life, and would often run errands while everyone else was out of town. Joe worked as the manager for a power plant near Petropolis, Kathy taught 8th grade US history at West Petropolis Middle School, Peg competes in monster truck rallies, and Dudley went to TUFF Academy to be just like Kitty Katswell. It wasn't long before while running errands one day, John came across some old pieces of junk that resembled space technology. So, he took it home, and fashioned some new gadgets out of them: the Force Modems and the Beam Caliburs. But, he stowed them away because he wasn't sure what to do with them productively.
But, upon hearing about Kitty and her renowned legacy of keeping the balance of good and evil in check, John decided to join TUFF as well. So, he joined Dudley in going to TUFF Academy as well, and studied VERY hard in all of his classes. After graduation, John eventually got a part-time job working as a clerk and doing maintenance work at a local game store in Petropolis, California. Three weeks later, John and Dudley officially joined TUFF when Dudley accidentally bumped into her while chasing a chew toy. John apologized to Kitty for Dudley's recklessness, and she forgave them. John and Dudley were appointed as Kitty's new partners, but she refused their help because of what happened between her and Jack Rabbit. But, they tagged along with her when she went to the Southside Wharf to get the Kruger Rat from Snaptrap, only to have Dudley get him and Kitty captured, but John escaped to get more help.
And, John returned with six other individuals, and they helped Kitty and Dudley stop Snaptrap, and retrieve the Kruger Rat. And, even though Kitty still refuses a partner, John suggested that Kitty should lead them all in a crime-fighting team to help her regain her confidence and trust in people. Kitty agreed, and she and John hit it off pretty well during their time together.
Personality & Traits:
John is pretty loudmouthed, but well-spoken. He would often act without thinking, but is very passionate about his career as a TUFF agent. Like Kitty, John takes his job seriously, but knows when to have fun every once in a while. Also, if you mention food to him, he'll start salivating, and start growling continuously until he gets the food. He's also a bit of a geek, playing video games in his spare time, collecting action figures, and posting blogs on TUFF, its agents, and the criminals they fight. However, Kitty's okay with this as it teaches the younger generation the history of the agency and its actions.
However, John tends to be pretty sensitive at times whenever somebody pokes fun at him or something he likes, and would do ANYTHING to defend his beliefs. Thankfully, Kitty often talks him out of it, and brings him back down to Earth.
When John joined TUFF, he was excited that he got to be fighting crime alongside his favorite crime-fighter. But, as time went on, he quickly realizes that being a crime-fighter is also about putting the citizens and your country before anything else. Since then, John has become a formidable TUFF agent, and will do anything to keep the world safe from General Guar and all forms of villainous scum, even if he gets a little nervous at times.
Well, whaddaya think, guys?
