Another upload another replica! This ones an LCT AK74 with real steel plum furniture. This new furniture started popping up instead of wood furniture in the mid-late 80s.

Plum furniture is kinda funky in that theres lots of theories as to why it was just that color, ranging from being night-vision disruptive, to it blending in with natural shadows better.
The most likely one imo is that they just couldnt get an all black polymer strong enough at the time, since coloring polymer means blending it with colored pellets, effectively dilluting the polymer, so they went as dark as they could. You can see small white speckles in genuine plum furniture, wich is basically undyed polymer. The youtuber Mishaco made a great video on the subject, Id recommend looking it up if youre interested.

As for the pistol grip, since electric airsoft replicas hold the motor in the grip, a real grip wouldnt be able to fit, so I took an airsoft "deep red" colored grip & dusted it with black spray paint to match better.
