Leoncillo and Cosnach somehow survived an epic battle against 20 bears and turned in the pelts to the East Empire Company, who then proceeded to explain why the price of pelts was dropping, how the quality was inconsistent, etc, etc. After purchasing a musket for Cosnach, ammo, food, and medicine, all Leoncillo really had to show for the heroic feat was a new bearskin poncho and a nasty scar.

Cosnach recommended a medicinal spring south of Windhelm, where it turns out convalescence might not be the only thing on his mind.
