A true inner fire.

This robot dog-lady is called AUrum. I"ve done other sketches of her before but usually in her full armour or in her fluffier bod. Here she is stripped down to the barest essentials: the systems that support her fusion core.

This was a new way of working for me. Entirely drawn digitally by blocking out the rough form in scribbled inks and then almost carving away the rough shapes with the eraser tool . I"m happy with the result and this is the most hatching I"ve done in a long, long time. Felt really good to focus on something so detail orientated. I used photos of a friend"s dog to help with the face shadow and detail.
