A game I took part in at my local GW prior to the COVID-induced lockdown of my area. Due to it being the store's birthday that day, a free-for-all 1000pt mash-up was set up on one of the store's 4'x6' tables, and we had up to 5 players with models on the table throughout the game.
I of course brought out my Horus Heresy Salamanders models to use in a veteran-heavy list.
The other armies fielded throughout the game included a daemon-engine-heavy Iron Warriors CSM list, two Primaris lists (one Raven Guard, the other Salamanders), an ork list (can't remember the clan), and the featured Imperial 'soup' list comprised of Sisters of Battle, knight armigers, and an assassin.
Out of all of us, only Soup, Iron Warrior, Raven Guard and myself played through from beginning to end. The other Salamanders player, who had set up to my left, unfortunately had to leave early on before he had a chance to get a turn in, though not before getting shot at by Raven Guard to his left. In his place a turn or two later, Ork set up his boys with a deff dread among other things. Iron Warrior and Soup were trading blows battlebot-style on their side of the table, and with Raven Guard out of range of my vets I contented myself with focusing on Soup for the entire game.
In the turn leading up to the photo being taken, I lost a venerable dreadnought to armiger autocannons and a librarian to the assassin, but given the meat grinder rules for this game (units destroyed are points recouped for reserve units), I eventually brought in a Sicaran Venator for personal amusement.
I took immense pleasure in beating the crap out of that assassin with 7 combi-flamer veterans though, even if all they could use were bolt pistols and combat knives.

You would think salamanders and sister would go hand and hand after all they both like lighting things on fire
Perhaps. It really depends on the Sororitas order however, since while the Salamanders may have a penchant for fire they're more akin to the friendly village blacksmith than the fanatical zealot.
