A path diverges in a stunted, scraggly wood. Each side equally trod upon. Which direction would you choose?

Van Damme State Park... so coastal, third county north from San Francisco. As for the path, if you keep taking right turns, it will eventually take you to Highway 1 at a point where the waves occasionally reach.
It almost looks like the 'Mangrove Tour' down in Key Largo... I'd go right...

There is a very similar vibe there. Similar colors and scraggly look. To the right, the path takes many sharp turns with information signs about the pine, cypress, rhododendron, huckleberry, and manzanita native to this peculiar forest, then the planks end in a dirt road that eventually splits. The one to the left is a service road on which I once found evidence that a bear had pillaged a bird feeder and not digest the contents well. The right side is narrower but well trod, winding deeper into the Pygmy.
Most Americans have a tendency to 'stay to the right,' knowing this, I usually choose left, more interesting that way.
Well, depending on your moral compass, the left in this case can be very interesting. So many metal husks just waiting to be looted. Often with no one around to witness...
