Taking place in 1930, W. D. Elias founded the Inkwell Corporation, where toons star in various movies and live in prosperous lifestyles, but all this came crashing down when Elias was mysteriously murdered. Mickey, Elias' successor became the new founder and renamed the company after his processor's name, but the result of Mickey taking charge of the company resulted in some 'specific rules', with majority of the toons leaving the company to start their own, albeit less successful businesses, while some retired from acting and settle on rural life.
When the rumors of Elias' death resurfaced, alongside the involvement of a former partner, the rival companies and former acquaintances sought to either aid or to destroy the company's legacy.
