Angsty and capricious as she is combative, SkekArra the sentry is a genuine rogue skeksis. Yet one of the most assertive among her ‘sisters’. On a scouting trek where her pack gets a glimpse of others like them, Arra aggressively picked a fight with SkekUng for trespassing on their borders. But during the struggle, he accidentally tore a piece of her top garment revealing just how that one group differed from those residing in the castle. And as a result, she thinks he shamelessly did that on purpose (in SkekUng’s defense, he was aiming for her neck) - so she almost loses no opportunity to verbally spite him. Despite the unhidden disgust she feels, time will teach them quite a life lesson. In the court, she feels the restrictive dictatorship of the Emperor to be frustrating and subconsciously due to her lack of emotional independence in her past life.
She"s rather an oversized ill-bred brat who acts without thinking of the consequences, but when things slip out of her hands she becomes vulnerable. Yet while she distrusts the majority of the other skeksis, Arra and Liat the barrister secretly envy a greater “gift” that the gelflings and podling people possess; something which was first a whim but had eventually wormed its way into her shrewish heart. Following the Barrister’s assertion, the sentry hopes to defy tradition once she gets a chance.
