My Favorite Star is Betelgeuse ^^
He "was" one or the brights Star in the Night Sky of the northern hemisphere.
but for Weeks he gets darker and darker....
Is his Light just Fluctuating or is it acutely his end? OwO
Ps. it is also the right Shoulder of Orion ^^
On top it is the original picture and the bottom on is with a lot more Contrast ^^
In the red Circle is Betelgeuse ^^

Orion is my favorite constellation, and in the clear nights of winter, he rules! ^,^
When it blows, it'll be the show of the century.
Until the next star goes supernova that is. If you watch the SNEWS network, you'll get to see more than one a night get tabulated.

Betelgeuse's end is nigh.
Some experts think it already hypernova'd, but the light just hasnt reached us yet.

i read that the star might go super nova with in the next 100 000 years
Betelgeuse is very faint at the moment!
Astronomers have measured gravitational waves at Betelgeuse.
It will end in a supernova!
This would be a sensation for star observers and astronomers!
The constellation Orion is my favorite constellation, which may not be complete.

I know ^1^
And it is cool you can see the change of brights with your naked eye ^^

My first guess was that it should be atmospheric disturbances, maybe slight cloud coverage, since Betelgeuse is a red supergiant and should remain one for quite a while (from our perspective, that is).
But I guess it's not just you: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Betel.....2020_fading

As long as not all the stars fade at once... Then it becomes creepy... ^-^
