I think this guy should definitely have his diet consist of Occa Berries. They reduce the effectiveness of Fire-type moves, making them pretty nice to grow if around fire types. Though due to being weak on their own, they require multiple to get the full effect.

At least it doesn't hurt to be around every fire type. A talonflame with flame body makes for a great companion. I actually happen to know one who is quite open to hugs.

As someone who barely plays pokemon i didn't knew about Occa Berries, but it would be a perfect way to make him enjoy some fire types, so thank you for the info |D

There are all sorts of berries that help in going against super effective types, but given how hard they are to grow sometimes they're often forgotten about. Though finding them is the easy part as they can be found in a number of regions ( Hoenn, Sinnoh, Kanto, Unova, Kalos, and Alola ) and even in dreams from what I heard. Also, let him know pokemon with Flame Body make great pokemon to hug. Though too much heat can always turn into a bad thing.
