“The squat is the perfect analogy for life: it is about standing back up after something heavy takes you down…”
"...9, 10, 11, 12...and done."
Finishing her last set of squats, Whisper set down the barbell and went to grab some water. Today was leg day: her least favorite workout day.
Oh how she was dreading tomorrow and facing the toilet and stairs! Her friends always laughed at her when she fussed about not being able to sit down for a day or two after working her legs, telling her it was own fault for pushing herself so hard.
...until they saw her legs and how toned they were, then they immediately shut up.
And while Whisper was quite proud of her legs and thighs, she didn't tone her lower body just to look good: in her field of work, it was essential to have a fit body to keep up with her adversaries and coworkers. An out of shape assassin is a dead assassin!
Taking a few more sips of water and tying her hair back, she glanced at the time, then down at her body. She still had a ton of energy to spare and it seemed a shame to waste it.
"Well, only one thing to do!" she laughed to herself as she added two more 15lb (6.8kg) plates to the bar. Might as well put this energy to good use. So much for going light today.
Whisper had already done 4 sets of 12 reps of front, goblet, and regular squats, deadlifts, leg presses, and lunges. And later she would do her cooldown: a short 2 mile jog to get her heartrate back up.
To anyone else, this workout seemed a bit extreme.
Yet to Whisper this workout was just another routine day for her. She was on a mission to be fit and in shape, and refused to stop until she hit her goal!
Yes, Whisper is indeed a glutton for punishment.
At least Whisper can proudly say she works hard to earn her body and she was not just drawn in shape, lol.
And yes, the real me does workout like Whisper! This is one of those rare commissions based on real life. Occasionally, I like integrating real life aspects of myself into art I get so my friends and watchers get a feel for the woman behind the sona.
I really do hate leg day...ALOT. I prefer working my upper body, specifically my biceps and chest, but a girl has to work her whole body to keep it in finely tuned and healthy.
As a matter of fact, I just finished working out in real life. Today was my chest, back, and abs day. So I thought why not post some fitness art of Whisper as well.
...I mean I did run too, that counts as leg work right? Right!
A commission by urg. You know my favorite part about this piece? Not only is Whisper covered and not wearing skimpy gym clothes, but the pose is realistic!
I hate when female characters are drawn in unnatural, cliche exercise poses just to look sexy. When I work out, I'm coated in sweat, not trying get a date, or wearing skin tight outfits, and my hair looks a hot mess...as it should be (end mini rant).

I had always been in awe of girls who do that.

We exist, haha. There are plenty of fit women in real life and on here too I believe! We are just so busy trying to stay in shape we keep a low profile.
Indeed! It's important to be healthy and fit in her line of work, and just in general
LOL! There it is! I was hoping someone would use the Hans and Franz reference...thank you~

Thank you! Glad you like it~

...I'm sorry you're old and out of shape? If you can keep up with her, give her a call and she might let you work out with her...maybe
Always impressive to know someone who takes their exercise so seriously! And yea thinking about it for but a moment it should occur to most that the gym might not be a place for the most picturesque poses or anything.
On a better note, you've given me a regimen to try out tomorrow before work! :)

Thank you!!! I take fitness very seriously- mostly because I like being fit and in shape.
Also, you will have to let me know how that leg day workout went for you, haha. I am glad I could help you out~
