I just had this come to me and couldn't resist. This serves as both a little sneak peek at Shimakaze's character, and continuing a kind of running joke in lionkinglover12 Whitestripe's Lunar Academy stories, where my character John often gets turned into a statue, usually with a welcome sign hanging from him. Thought it'd be neat to try him becoming the actual sign instead lol.

Wolves and Welcome Signs
Shimakaze the Ninetails was a mischievous sort, it seemed.
John was pretty sure about this, given he was currently plastered on the Ninetails’ dorm door in a feral running pose with a welcome sign pressed into his side.
It had started well enough, he’d spotted the new student arriving through the gates and rushed over to them to get them oriented before one of the professors… took it upon themselves to do so.
The Ninetails had been pretty interested in the fact that John was a living plush, being a sentient magical construct himself, apparently created by accident after someone with latent magic had spent a few too many nights making Pokemon characters. He seemed normal enough to the wolf though, if a bit cold at first.
When the Ninetails had asked John to show him to his dorm, he’d thought nothing of it, just a little something extra he could do for his new friend to help them get settled in.
At least, that was until the Ninetails had wrapped one of his tails around John’s paw and he had suddenly found himself collapsed into a side-on almost 2-dimensional version of himself, which the Pokémon had then coated in clear glue and stuck the cheap plastic sign to, the other holding the wolf welcome sign to the door, and also giving the new décor a nice shiny sheen like that of latex or shiny plastic.
Fortunately the Ninetails hadn’t done anything more with him other than some teasing, so the Wolf was fairly sure either he’d be let go or be able to restore himself eventually, but he’d still have liked some notice! Even if this really wasn’t so bad…
‘Seriously though, what the heck is it with me and welcome signs?’
