that honestly sucks on so many levels, man.

people not responding to you, and then when you try and tell them WHY they haven't, they're just silent the entire time and that really shows that artist is a true butt. i, myself, tend to forget to draw stuff for people, but i always try my hardest and notify them that it'll come soon since i don't want them to think that i'm one of THOSE people. it may be less likely for people to mad at you for not doing a request than a commission, but i still like to be wary and keep them updated and that I try to get the art done as soon as possible.

i really hope the artist will respond to your notes, and if he continues to not respond, just try and move on from the artist, and find someone else who's taking commissions that WON'T make you wait so long and never respond to you.
