With sadness in my heart, I'm aware that artist Shon Howell ( 
king-cheetah ) has recently passed away due to his battle against a liver cancer.
I never had much contact with him other than a few messages on Twitter, but he always seemed like a humble guy with a great talent.
May he rest in peace.

It was truly sad to hear we lost another great in the fandom! I hold close the designs i got from him as he did marvelous pics and even were the genesis to beloved characters i currently have! I hope his eternal rest will be a peaceful one!

Shon was always a great guy, I wouldn't have gotten into the whole furry community without his art. He was a good friend too, and I'll miss him a lot. And your memorial drawing is beautiful, he'd have loved it.
For we are but dust, and our days are numbered. You made this woeful old world a better place, Shon, by being that rare thing, a good guy. Vaya con Dios, and may the love and prayers of all your friends become the glory horse that carries your soul to the clean Good World that comes after this filthy mortal one.

Damn, Shon was so good at drawing cute big-boobed furry girls. I remember seeing his pin up stuff in mature furry magazines and comics back in the 1990s. I never got to say anything to ho,. but I loved his sexy female art stuff. Sorry about hearing about him being gone.
I learned of his passing earlier on Facebook. The Antarctic Press page there announced Shon's death.

His pics were among the very first I found in the fandom. I guess you could say he played a fair part in me still being here today. May he rest well now.

Thank you for posting this -- I had no idea he had passed. I was fortunate enough to purchase a few pieces from him over the years. He was always nice in his messages. I'll miss him and his work.
Shon's stuff is some of the earliest I followed. I always loved what his characters were saying as much as what they looked like.

wow... i didn't know he passed away till i checked your gallery to see what's up with your awesome art then I saw this. I know the artist, not personally but know of them, watched them for a long time too but I didn't think he was having problems. I think I should have paid more attention. x_X I did see his recent picture of himself saying he was doing better? But that wasn't the case? Wow... This is sad but also a nice tribute.

I remember getting artwork from Shawn at A-Kon. If memory serves he was a very decent person, and it breaks my heart to know we lost him.
