My dog "Ditko" is an extremely high energy dog that we adopted last year. I, personally, like having a high energy dog as it keeps me moving and healthy despite the ongoing chronic Lyme disease issues. Sadly no amount of walking or running I can feasibly do keeps Ditko good and tired so I take him to the dog park for two hours a day, every day. This has mostly been easy to work around (except when my truck is in the shop!) but a lot of commissions I can't work on at the park because they're paintings and taking watercolors to a windy park is insane or because they're pornographic (working on porn in public is rude and can even be illegal). So to kill time, and make a little dosh while I can't work on other things, I started doing pet portraits! This first one is an example of a one hour penciled sketch ($40) and is of "Rusty" a Catahoula Leopard Dog mix who is there every day as well. Rusty is a very mellow dog who never strays far from his owner, he's quiet and largely ignores Ditko the madman.
I'll have more of these to post as I've done a decent number already. And, yes, a lot of people at the park know what I do for a living and, no, they don't care.

I don't know how to add anything to this other than saying that this is a very wholesome portrait! :)
