This makes me think of the Phantasmat game serie.
You are stranded in an abbandot area
First one a sunkedn city second a resort burried by an avalanche.
You try to escape but all the people you meet come out as ghosts, only when you make then reallise they're death, you can escape.

After game 2, the title was sold and they changed the whole ghost things.
