Lilah and Talpa are part of what's known as a Geshtalt, an organism which is able to, for lack of a better term, assimilate other people into its collective being, allowing them to use different features and abilities, while those 'assimilated' also retain the ability to leave the body at will. Confusing to try to explain, but it makes more sense when you see it.

Lilah, the lovely plump rabbit works as a sous chef at Twilight, with aspirations for being a singer someday, though she's a bit shy about her voice. She stands at about 5'8'', whereas her chameleon companion is about 5'4''.

Talpa is an incredibly shy and timid individual, partially due to how self conscious she is about having no control over the colors her body takes on, which is understandably embarrassing for a chameleon, so she tends to spend most of her time as part of Lilah, but when she's not, she's working as either a server - generally right by Lilah's side - or as a bartender, but has dreams of being a dancer, some day, when she's not so afraid of people.
