John was a simple peasant boy, orphaned from a young age, and detested by his peers. While he could not find the source of such hatred, he assumed he simply had to prove himself. Some distance from John's village was an oddly shaped mountain, rumored to be the home of a fearsome dragon. He thought that if he could ascend to the cave and take whatever treasure was housed within. The very next day, in nothing more than his peasant rags, he hiked to the mountain.

After the arduous journey, he peered into the cave to find a mostly-empty chamber with an orange, wingless dragon sleeping in the center. John apprehensively walked inside, attempting to find some kind of valuable item, when the dragon awoke. The dragon looked at John with gleeful eyes, and barely hesitated to swallow him.

John was still taking in his surroundings as he laid in the dragon's belly. Just as he was beginning to comprehend the warm, slimy place in which he found himself, the dragon let out a loud belch. As the stomach tightened around John, he felt an incredible peace fall over him. Although his fate remained uncertain, John began to fall asleep, nestled deep within the great beast. The dragon laid its head down, and did the same.
