First view. Cool. I like this picture. It'd be a nice wallpaper.
I'd hate to get on the bad side of you two ._. even if I'm bullet proof, I'm not missile proof... >_>
now if only i could ride a top such a sexy feline awesome work hun :)
He was very good at drawing realistically. So was Dali.
Just thought I should put that out there.
Just thought I should put that out there.
Oh, I know he was... but the stuff I usually see of his is like... "wtf?"
Picasso was trained a great deal and had mastered structured realism by the age of 18, actually. He chose to experiment with cubism as he got older, but his training gave him a more hardened sense of structure in his experiments.
I'm not on either side here, mind you, I think this whole comment train is full of people sperging out over nothing.

Oh so every cartoon artist ever sucks, right?
One has to learn proper anatomy in order to be able to properly distort it later on.
I'm pretty sure, after watching Strype progress over the years, that he has much more artistic knowledge then someone who can't draw a proper image without referencing. (GET THE HINT THERE BUDDY)
There's plenty of 'logic' applied to this. He's a buff guy with mechanical prosthetics. Carrying Cooper. Post-shooting-something.
UGH IT'S NOT A MUSCULAR HERMAPHRODITE I CAN'T

This from the guy who can't/doesn't draw realism.
lol, you're one of THOSE.

Eh...on one hand that could be true, but imagine the number of shysters who would hide behind that excuse - "its not shit shut up its art!"
And to the below comment about picasso, he was actually pretty good at drawing realistically. He just didn't.

Look harder. It wasn't a direct intervention into the argument, it was an aside. An offshoot of the subject.
I was saying, realism isn't actually relevant to whether it's art or not.
I can only answer that with a question: How does it not?
One reason is where the best art is the most correct or cute. :3
One reason is where the best art is the most correct or cute. :3
Anatomically, logically and scientifically correct. Such as the reason for my first reply: it's improbable for him to keep foot on that small of a base, carrying that much weight in some kind of momentum, without three points of support at all times (giving they are that base each). This applies to acceleration, deceleration and turning. Try this for size: getting hit on the chest by a log while running with such tiny feet and such huge upper form. :3
Also, if done proper chest adjustments, Coop may need some of this: http://www.firstshowing.net/img/iro.....-final-big.jpg

Ok, why does it need more logic if it's not his goal? Clearly, with art, you are allowed to be imaginitive, and anything goes.
Are you pondering about what you're all asking me? I think you asked me something similar to this in your first reply...
Let me say again: I only said it needs more logic.
Obviously the picture is completed. The art is done. I liked it. I watched. I even took the time to comment. I faved. I downloaded.
The only reason why I think this needs more logic, is because this looks like it belongs to a game of the likes of Duke Nukem or Divine Divinity, where guys are armored and girls are not. You know them, the macho type games, of which you see endless advertisements. On top of that, his base is overly small for his overly large upper and he's even carrying three times extra weight: 1 power arm, 1 flame thrower, 1 girl. In order to keep it even closely safe for her, his base needs to be enlarged to at least three standing points of that size, or his two points need to be enlarged to support that much weight and momentum. And the girl is handling a bazooka, which had just been fired, while he only has one standing point out of two tiny on the ground, which doesn't carry the whole load.
There is nothing left to say when this is properly processed.

I realize you only said "it needs more logic". You keep repeating yourself, when I understood the first time.
Way late here, but just as a point of note a bazooka doesn't actually create recoil. It is simply a tube with a rocket in it.
Magic is best compared to plausible as rape is to drinking coffee.
Magic only looks good. The end.
Illogical statements are illogical.

Illogical statements are illogical.
Magic makes the seemingly implausible plausible... as to rape makes the seemingly impossible to drink coffee possible to drink?
I'm going to have to borrow a quote from you: "...requires some logic o-O;"

If god had intended us to walk, good sir, he wouldn't have invented roller skates.
man invented rollerskates.
man evolved from apes, and learned to walk for themselves.

Its called art because it isnt real so theres no reason to try and drag physics, logic, proportions, or grammar into any argument on this site
The single and foremost purpose of art is to entertain an audience. I am an artist. I like art. I review for improvement. End of story.
If people don't want to improve, they can leave it at a simple "thank you"-note.
I'm very certain this whole slew of comments does not entertain anyone.
I rest my (rather hopeless) case.

Your "case" is that you didn't like how he treated the physics. I asked why this matters, and you kept on saying "all I was saying was that it needs more logic".
Your on a furry site so logic is already thrown out the window, and proportions are based on something that does not exist so you hav no idea on proportions, and this could be the future where they have figured out ways to use those legs so once again since it isn't real you cannot judge it
Actually in self-balancing robotics it's better to have the weight at the top. I believe it's a related principle to the tuned mass-damper.
Ground footage is largely irrelevant in active systems, as they can dynamically adjust. The only real issue is one of traction. In case of an impact as you sugest then he could simply push his feet behind him, though the low area would probably mean some long skid-marks. And that's not taking into account his claws, the weapon arms slung below centre of gravity and that he's a 7ft tall cybernetically enhanced, bio-modded, nanobot-infused, space-faring anthropomorphic tiger from the future. I think he can do what he likes.

And your anatomy sucks complete and utter donkey dicks so shut the hell up, sperg ferguson.
And by what 'anatomy' are you referring to needing said logic?
I shall refer you to this comment: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/302...../#cid:22398448
I must admit his upper body is built like Heavy Weapons Guy from TF2, and all of hte purposeful anatomically extreme examples that that includes. There is a place for stylized exaggerated anatomy, like what you see in TF2, but I'm not sure if that's the intention here. If anatomical extremes were the intention to convey a certain atmosphere, like the cartoony sort of violence you get in TF2, then why is the women perfect anatomically? It's like Strype couldn't decide between goofball machismo and womanly cheesecake, so instead both were included.
Don't get me wrong, I love the piece, the background is fantastic and the coloring and detail work is amazing, but I did notice the anatomical extremes, and it makes me question the intention of the piece. Whether or not that's a good thing, depends on the very intention I'm seeking.

Does it follow that because you desire one character to be anatomically extreme, that means that all characters must be?
when you choose to go to the extreme, you create an aesthetic. so if you don't keep to the standard you set yourself, you're flying in the face of the very aesthetic you created. The woman has kind of an exaggerated rape face going on, which goes with that aesthetic, but all in all I still don't know what aesthetic I'm feeling from this.
I don't see how both need to be stylized the same way.
look at the TF2 cast line up. each one holds to a class. the scout is lithe, and nimble, and is a great counterpoint to the beefy huge heavy.
the style they chose, reprisents their personalities, and expression of who they are. if she wanted to be some amazon, then he would have drawn her that way. but then the whole "lover is smaller sitting on shoulders" theme may not have been as fun. I think the point is that it was deliberate. to give that juxtaposition.

You're missing the point. it has nothing to do with how small she is, or how big he is. It's the fact that she, anatomically, is as correct as a living, breathing, IRl individual, while he is built like the Heavy Weapons Guy from TF2. TF2 is surreal, goofy, cartoony. IRL is IRL. It's two completely different styles and aesthetics. Hell if she were built more like the scout with toothpick limbs and a bit head, it would probably make more sense. but the juxtaposition of the realistic and the cartoony is confusing.
Again, I don't hate the picture. I love the level of detail, and the background is amazing. But I can't get over how big and "Heavy Weapons Guy"ish he looks, when she look so very normal and real by comparison.
there's a background?
*blinks*
I see what you're saying, I still....dun care. and I don't think you're supposed to care.
I sorta...made my opinion voiced...and that's that' not here to dicuss at lenght the image...*shrugs*

I'm asking why you think the fact that him drawing a more realistic character along with a more fantasy-like character somehow concludes that he didn't know what he was doing, not whether or not you find the drawing aesthetically pleasing.
I never said he didn't know what he was doing. :\ Now you're putting words in my mouth. I said they each convey a different aesthetic, and put together I find aesthetically confusing. It's as if he couldn't decide which way to go with it, and decided to do both.
"We're coming for yoooooou!"
Damn, you're turning into the Team Fortress 2 Heavy.

Well, now I know.
Well, now I know.
Happy anniversary, great picture, and I'm going to go run away now before I start making gun puns.
Let me guess black Friday deals get pretty aggressive in your neck of the woods?
Only one thing comes to mind... Master Blaster! Heap Big Arab!

Strype, high five for 6 years, but... well... i mean... seriously. Dude. This picture is incomplete. It has big guns, and rokkitlaunchaz and even some powerfist, but i mean... you know... you just can't do a grocery store run without your trusty minigun, can you.
So here, for your 6th anniversary: *hands over present box in the shape of a minigun* guess what i brought :D

cool pic, tho the male gets a few minus points in the cool department for those legs, not only is the design misplaced but they just look so ridiculously tiny compared to the rest of his body, had he been your stereotypical sci-fi bar owner or similar I could run with it, but he clear is here to kick ass and take names.
the legs are part of his character profile. look at his Reference pic, it's very detailed.
kickass babe, lol.Glad you guys are going strong*hugs him and her * have a good many more to cum.pic looks amazing
most badass couple ever
Congrats!; I love you guys. <3

Am I the only one who thought that he was going to teamkill some peoplez? "It's always the guy with the flamethrower."
Sometimes I wonder if your back never hurts from such weights? Don't misunderstand me but those instrument arms and weapons look heavy.
Awesome pic, tho' it's only spoiled slightly in my head by GIR's voice going "oooh, it's got chicken legs!" XD
Good work as always :)
Good work as always :)
wow...six years is a long time...congrats you two. And its kewl to see a drawing with both of you in it. Don't get that alot so its a neat treat in my opinion when you draw both of you in the same page. *nodnod*
I love couple images. <3

ya know...I've seen alot of people commenting on "chicken feet" and how they're so small...
well, I think the claw span is perhaps within reason. though, possibly on the small side. but much of the "smallness" is the fact that...THEY'RE METAL they don't need to be bulky, cause there's not flesh.
but what DOES confuse me, and make me giggle a little...is look at his pockets on his pants, and belt....
then look at his powerfist, and flame thrower arm....
then look back at his pockets... are there ? ? ? floating around your head? cause I have a few.... how DOES he get into them? does his powerfist have a swiss army hand grabby thingy? or does the powerfist come off really easily to allow access to his pocketses.
I just gotta wonder about these things. or...maybe there's nothing in them anyway, they're just there for the badass augmentation!!

Pistols, Rockets, flamethrowers, and a big ass claw. Oh yes, there will be ass kicking
OMGZZ! DRAMA EVERYWHEREZ!
I'm actually diggin' the juxtaposition of styles here, the anime-ish eyes-visible-through-hair, the realistic texture and shading on the cyber arm and pants, the concrete and cloud stock, and the stylized smoke trail from the freshly fired launcher. Also, since I noticed it was rather scarce in the comments, happy 6th anniversary. Both of you keep on being awesome.

"You are all so small! Is funny to me! WHO SENT ALL THESE BABIES TO FIGHT?!"
holy crap yes! It so does @.@ I never thought of that. I LUV those movies!
fck the logick :) i reeeeeeally like the left hand. Can't stop from watching it...

Awesome work :D

Once seeing the comments, I had to look back at the image. LoL fuck Logic, this is Science-Fiction! Although I can see how the force of gravity might make your character look unbalanced, but I assume he either has a very low centre of gravity, or has an inbuilt bouyancy system to avoid him falling over.
I'm thinking about getting metal legs. It's a risky operation, but it'll be worth it.
Looks like she's out for mischievousness, and he's out for fun. Either way, keep your awesome artwork coming!
Strype tank with a Cooper cannon. :o Awesome! Also... Say hellos to Koopa (Cooper) for me. :3 She's a buddy o' mine in SL.
This picture is immediately granted a slot on the list of Best Things Ever.
Loove those raptor legs. Congrats on both and do Boom! to naysayers...
