Zorku groaned as he collapsed onto his bed, his head heavily pressured and his body shivering, yet also unusually hot. He had previously been nauseous, but an emergency run to the bathroom helped settle his stomach, even if it wasn't the most preferential method of doing so. His eyes were half open, staring at the ceiling. He had only been sick for less than a day, yet he was already internally begging for the agony to end swiftly.
A few more moments would pass before his eyes shifted to the windows. A very light blue hue started to crest into his room, signaling dawn's end and the start of the morning. He sighed in irritation as he threw his covers over his form. He curled up beneath the quilt, trying to get comfortable enough to attempt to sleep. He let out one last agonized groan before falling still.
--
It had been about half an hour in his attempt to sleep, which resulted in a sort of half sleep for his efforts. However, he would not be alone.
The sick feline's ears failed to pick up a soft, rhythmic padding across the floor of his apartment, as a familiar Vulpix slowly approached Zorku's bed. Her elegant, quiet steps led her to him before she hoisted her front paws up to get a better view of the cat. She manage to notice how his form curled up under the covers, and his visibly distraught expression in the midst of his sleep.
Vivian couldn't help but to feel a pinch of pity for the sleeping feline. With a soft sigh, the Vulpix prepped herself to leap upon his bed. Zorku's eyes opened slightly to notice the Vulpix that now stood next to him, but before he could protest, he felt a paw gently place itself on his mouth. He glanced down with slightly more opened eyes, but soon shut them, huddling himself up again.
With the feline kept quiet, Vivian lifted the covers with her snout. Zorku shivered with the air hitting him, but he would soon feel the Vulpix's form take its place. She padded around for a moment before lying down beneath the blanket, her warm form pressing up against the sick feline's.
Zorku's eyes opened again, noticing the Vulpix's space in his bed. He might've protested if it were any other time, but his lack of strength, coupled with her admittedly pleasant warmth, kept him silent. His head returned to the pillow with a soft exhale.
"Not today," Vivian cooed as she rested her own head on the pillow. "You need rest today."

buizel_licks_you's Vivian can be quite mischievous when it comes to all sorts of factors, but when one of her favourites becomes sick, she chooses a more gentle route of action instead.
This snippet takes place in an alternate sort of timeline from Zorku's canon where the mischievous Vulpix finds a way to alter his size (as he's otherwise immune to such because I have my reasons). I've found myself getting sick over the past day or so, which is the reason why buizel_licks_you influenced this.
Since it only clocks in at 434 words, I've elected to put this into scraps.
Zorku is my own.
Vivian belongs to buizel_licks_you.
Vulpix belongs to Pokémon.
