If it wasn't for the fact that I know Coops dad is dead, I woulda sworn that was him lmao
I was about to call him a hypocrite, but then I was like โWait.. heโs.. ope nevermind.โ
yeah I thought the same thing for a minute I was like wait a minute wasnt coops dad ripping him about dont you ever be like that and then I see him here I was confused a minute heh
Yeah, looks like Coop, but older which is why I thought it was his dad for a second.
While I think Fletcher is super hot (fire) and I'd love to see him get his rocks off, just assuming Andy would do that with him is... making for some warning bells for me. It's also nice that we have it restated here, in no uncertain terms, that the relationship between Andy & Wally isn't romantic (and has been a little sleazy).
There are some threads about to collide in a beautifully chaotic way though, and I am SO here for it. Like watching the funnel of a tornado about to make ground.

That wolf is a seriously judgemental douche. Well, at least his remarks mostly get ignored. That's the thing to do. I'm glad that Emery at least pointed out that a 25 year old man is a man and not a child. I can't stand it when middle-aged people do that, even if twenty-somethings can act immature a lot of the time. It's disrespectful. Emery looks good in that shirt.n
In wolf guy's defence, big sexy dog there did purposely use an internship opportunity in order a hire a guy with the express intent of sexing him up, which is pretty irresponsible (hot, but irresponsible nonetheless) and now big bear is talking about trading Emery over to his business to be a manager slash call boy, treating an employee like a piece of meat now that he's being too frisky at work. He's kind justified all things considered.
I mean, I love this comic, but yeah, people make questionable decisions sometimes.

I'm not sure I would say it was irresponsible. Questionable, risky, yes, though not necessarily irresponsible; and he was upfront about it from the start. Good idea or not, Andy was free to turn it down. He didn't, as he wanted the job and to show up Cooper. As for trading employees, it doesn't really work that way. Emery could have suggested the position to Andy, but the decision would always have been Andy's to make. It's not like trading a horse. Andy has his own agency in this, and sometimes I think people forget that.
The worst you could say about Emery, in my opinion, is that he is rather green at being gay. He's having to figure out how a lot of this works rather late, after having been married to someone he cared for, having children in whose lives he is still quite active, as well as managing his own business. Those are a lot of responsibilities. He's a bit lonely, and above all, horny. He's clearly taken well to a young man finding him attractive. When you get older and you feel you've lost or are loosing your best looks due to age and gradual neglect, it can be a tremendous boost to one's self-esteem to be found sexy but a young man in his prime like Andy. After feeling like a failure at marriage and fatherhood (and he's bound to feel that way to an extent due to not been able to be honest with himself about his own sexuality up front) and causing a divorce and partial breakup of his own family, he is still putting his life back together and incorporating something into it he probably thought totally incompatible before. If he doesn't always make wise decisions, that does not make him malicious as many people seem to feel.
Also, these two have mostly found this whole experience very satisfying. They've been shown to get along well, they enjoy each other's company, they have great sexual chemistry, and they respect each other. Andy's work has only recently started to suffer because of events in his life outside of work, and even Emery thinks that's what's going on. Andy doesn't want to talk about it, and Emery won't force it. He does have to consider the implications on job performance, though. That's fair. Andy will have to work that out. The dip isn't due to their affair at work, though. Instead, it's becoming a way for Andy to not deal with what happened with Cooper and Chelsea.
At least, that's how I see it. Emery is a far more decent person that he's sometimes given credit for, Andy is impulsive and immature but also caring and empathetic, and Cooper is a pretty insecure man that uses a lot of bravado to cover up some major traumas that he has suffered and is consequently lonely. They all deserve a lot less hostility than they get.

Methinks the wolf doth protest too much.
And speaking as someone older, those of us do that because we REMEMBER what being that age was like for us, and we know we were still idiotic children at that age. Hell, I'm almost 35 and still think I'm way too immature for my age. XD

we sure that's not coops relative in some form cause that's way way to close to be something xD
Flecther is good for a crazy rump. But you gotta be crazier then him for him to come back for more
He looks exactly like him right? Lol. I think he looks too much like him not to be but there's always the possibility that he's just a random character. Guess we'll find out eventually.
No, it's not him. The fur pattern on his head is different than Cooper's. I did a double take too but then I compared the most recent picture of Cooper in the comic with this guy and they do look different. So unless Coop got some serious fur-dye to change his look they are two different furs.
Depends on where you are and who you're with, among other things. It could be a certain era as well. Age gaps between lovers/partners has occurred for a long time, isn't something new, but for the same number of reasons why it's "normal" in some circles, there's a lot of reasons why it isn't normal in others.
I think that one of the main reasons that disagreeing parties find it unacceptable is the issue of consent, which is a hot button from time to time. They can't believe that someone younger, even if they're 18 to 25, can make an informed decision about who they date, because they haven't spent enough time dating.
I think that if you really wanted to be technical about it and just look at numbers, yes of course someone who is 20 only has so much experience. Older men and women simply have a more extensive track record... but that doesn't necessarily mean they make all the right decisions, all of the healthy decisions. Look at Waldren, for example. Sometimes it's the younger person that has better instincts when it comes down to what is right and wrong. Sometimes they're the ones with all the power, but in any relationship, regardless of age or gender, it shouldn't be about taking more and giving less.
Bottom line: Love and/or lust is both intense and complicated, and it doesn't care what societal norms are, isn't conscious of our actions or who is emotionally abusing who.

Appears to be more of a meat market then a relationship conversation....
Right? I have the same impression on this. And I'm not romantic type myself - many times I was in fwb relationship, but I was never taking advantage in terms of power and social status over someone. 0 feelings but always treated the other party respectful. This conversation here is sooooo stereotypically gay that it hurts. Stereotypically in terms of using someone for certain purposes with social status in the background.
well, just that the relationship between Waldren and Andy is not a friendship. Itยดs a work relationship between a company owner and an intern, which is bound for desaster if you ask me.
As for that jewelry heavy guy... I donยดt like him. The fact that he suggests to treat Andry like a fucking piece of bread to be handed around puts me off a lot. It says a lot about his personality. I mean, if it was a professional offer, of somebody Andy could learn something, then it would be ok. But I doubt that Andy can reak any benefits from doing an internship in some Club. Especially if you consider what line of work he seems to aim for.

How is this "stereotypically gay", though? That makes little sense. This happens regardless of your sexual orientation, in fact it happens far more between straight guys.
God damn I love the writing. The art is fantastic, full on, but the rhythm in the writing is booty-tastic
Everything about this comic is awesome - even if I'm not totally sure about where parts of it are going. :3
And just to be a complete sleaze - I so wanna have a 3-way with Coop and Fletcher!

Not sure how I feel about this to be honest. On one hand it's nice to get the character development, but this development just makes Warren look like a bit of a dick. He admits that he probably should have fired Andy and he's talking with friends about issues that should be discussed with Andy himself and not brought up with others. So yeah, you hired the guy just to bang him and although he's usually a good worker when he's not mentally distracted he should have been fired already?
At least he admits that there must be something wrong with him and he seems at least a small tad worried... I guess.

Thank you! There have been red flags with Waldren for a while that a lot of people just seem to ignore. Yeah, daddies are hot and all, and fucking your boss is also kinky (risky and irresponsible, but that might be part of the appeal), but Waldren himself has always rubbed me the wrong way from day one.
He seems...well, like a business man! He seems to be used to getting what he wants, when he wants it, and gets frustrated when he doesn't immediately get it. That brief look of annoyance when Andy got out from under him to get the condoms was an example. To me, at least, Waldren seems like the kind of guy who, the first chance he gets, would dump Andy the moment his internship was terminated, and this page indicates he would have if he weren't so strapped for employees.
And yet there is an alarming amount of people here who think that Andy and Waldren are perfect for each other?! In bed, perhaps, but butt buddies do not a relationship make. There is clearly a power disparity here, not just in the bedroom, but in their actual lives. Not only because (as people keep forgetting), Waldren is Andy's BOSS, but Andy is incredibly inexperienced. He only just recently started exploring his sexuality, and he just seems vulnerable, the type of person predatory figures would be actively searching to exploit.
I dunno, maybe I have a bias against businessmen, but I find the cognitive dissonance of people dismissing Cooper as an irredeemable asshole while regarding Waldren as the ultimate bae quite comical. As Wanda in Bojack Horseman said, "When you look at someone through rose-tinted glasses, all the red flags just look like flags."

how old're fletcher and waldren anyways?
Don't know about Fletcher but Waldren is 41. Fletcher looks 35-38 to me. I could be wrong though.
the next mystery that needs solving (when the time naturally comes): how wally and feltcher have made one another's acquaintance
That will probably be revealed in the next several pages or possibly the next chapter or possibly the next black and white bonus story.
fletch and wally obviously get along swimmingly, so i can only guess they've been buds for a while..
..maybe all four of the pups are CEO Pals

I'm glad he's showing genuine concern. It's probably going to be too much to ask that all of them end up happy though.
Yay a Waldren-centric page!! And ofc, like most of the folks on here who appreciate an aged gentleman: Noah is very cute!
nope nope! Abort! At no point should Coop and this guy cross paths! DANGER, DANGER COOP ROBINSON!
i love how ultra-chilled, and "fuckitol" noah's dressed
with his pinche gilligan cap
i'd actually like to see more of this fella (in comic) as well, Loo

I love seeing Emery with his friends, talking about his troubles.
I have a really bad feeling about this. I hope Andy and Cooper are going to be okay in the future of this comic
I hope for the same too. Part of me hopes Andy and Coop can fix what happen and hopefully maybe something more. Or at least that's my hope they they get together, but part of me really hopes Andy and Coop will be with each other again and hope Coop figure out some things too
Just something doesn't feel right and I'm kinda concern if I'm just overthinking, or not
Oh Walden, if ONLY Andy caught the romantic feelings for you.
Oh dear, Fletcher looks like he'd WRECK Andy....normally, I'm into that...but no.
