"I had spent my years, my life, consuming and relishing in the gluttony that
so many of my kind have. It was never enough, wasted... were they. Corpses
and empty glasses littered marble tile, for no reason other than for the mere sake of it.
It was a boring existence driven by insatiable acts of violence and lust; things that
not even the most splendid of shaina maidens could satisfy. At the time, I was content
with that. It was in my nature. That all changed, when she came; a mortal girl indaught
with beauty unbeknownst to me. She was not the first, but she was my last...
It was not only her outward beauty that enamored many, but an indefinite charm to
her soul that beguiled all before her; stealing their hearts in the most ignorant of manners.
That was the nature of that one such divine elegance, that innocence, that so many speak of in
such grandeur. Was she aware of her cruelty? I doubt so, she was too kind to
knowingly ensnare those around her. In the beginning, it was innocent enough...
much like she. As we grew, so did we change... and naively, like so many before me,
she stole my thoughts and my heart. In return, I stole her from a fate she
so badly deserved. Why? I couldn't help but rob others of something so invaluable. I wanted
what I couldn't have, I wanted her above all else... I wanted to make her mine.
That was..., a long time ago. Now she is gone, and that treasure remains locked in
a mind polluted with the thoughts of so many other things... so many regrets. At times,
when I look to the briar stretching across the candid valley out yonder, I can still see that
brilliance of crimson floating about, tempting me with visions of old. Roses caress a girl in
red, who smiles to me in a curious way... a way in which I cannot help but yearn for. How
foolish was I, to think it could ever be-- that our wish confined in sin, would live through
the sands of time against all that opposed it. What an unfortunate thingβ¦that I, a pureblood lord,
fell prey to a mortal girl. Indeed... it would have been better to purge such feelings of decadence
before they bloomed."
Rosette, trailing through the rose patches. She looks back to a person she loves.

I'm really into that disney background layering lately ya know.
I really enjoy the contrast between the warm and cold colours in this, a brilliant scene along with the text that goes with it, while reading it you can even picture the characters in your mind, see the written thoughts play out.
Maybe just being oddballish, but I do enjoy the texts, piece by piece giving us more about the characters thoughts, personalities or feelings

Text with Kagerou is hard to gauge. I don't feel a need to impress or; have everyone understand it. But at the same time, it's spoken in such a whimsical and old fashioned manner I always wonder if the meaning of it floats over everyone's head. I'm flattered to know some, including yourself, appreciate it.
I'm sure in the future when it's more shown it will make more sense. I too, like text with pieces.
