An over-designed Fina the Aviacean.
I think part of my problem with my earlier projects/character designs was that I didn't know when to leave a character design well enough alone. I spent the best part of the start of this year redesigning my 'Never Work With Monsters' characters because for some reason I wasn't happy with them anymore.
Now I've taken a while to step back and reflect I can see there was honestly nothing wrong with the initial designs - so I probably won't be using this design going forward. Really I'd prefer to use the far more simple earlier designs for Fina (and the other monsters from her universe) because I think I'd rather illustrate Never Work With Monsters comics by hand - which would lend itself to making use of simpler, more cartoony designs.
I still think I'm going to make something of Never Work With Monsters and all the work I've put into it - I actually wrote a new introduction comic for Fina a few weeks ago - it's just that I took a wrong turn with the project and got myself into a muddle I couldn't see a way out of. Still working that one out.

A nice design here. However, a little harder for me to tell for certain places. Could have been the pose. Not sure.. Also, haven't really read anything yet.
