Honestly, this guy needs a good ass kicking at this rate. Its clear she isn't having it, yet he keeps on antagonizing her. For someone who is supposed to be the 'adult' hes acting like a vindictive child.
Eh, there's a shred of me that feels as though he's genuinely trying to be kind. After all, it's a fairly mature and professional act to leave the drama of work at the office, so to speak.
Look at it this way: When she made her comment about what he could do with a chainsaw, his response wasn't to snap at her or begin making comments to her about how he will make her life miserable with this new information. Rather, he completely disregarded her attack and went right back to treating her as a child. To me, it is obvious to him that she's there to experience such treatment and decompress, and as a designated adult and temporary caretaker, it is his responsibility to see to it that those expectations are met. He appears to remain respectful of her boundaries though, as some individuals might be inclined to take their capacity as a sitter a bit too far, and just haul her off to the changing table.
At this point, I'm on the fence on how I feel about him--either he's going to more or less try (or at least threaten) to blackmail her with this information to try to get her more under his thumb at work, or he'll see this as a bit of common ground through which they can better connect, and their relationship can improve over time as a result. ~shrug~

Testify, I don't believe he's truly evil, I believe he might of gone a little to far but he seems to have good intentions deep down, there is a shred of me that does believe that
but maybe there's room for forgiveness if he isn't being abusive intentionally and doesn't fully realize that he's gone too far. In context of this comic, it wouldn't make things better for Star now but after recovering from the initial shock they could work out how to go forward with him better respecting her boudnries and apologizing in a way that is satisfactory, and making it up to her by either treating her better or not sticking around her when possible. IF that is the kind of person he is. Maybe he is just a creep in which case yeah, screw this guy. At very least I'm interested to see where this is going...
This, people defending his actions have very little clue into actual bdsm. He is in the category of shitty doms.
With respect to him being a shitty Dom: She really should be safe wording out. Except I don't recall there ever being discussion at the party of a universal safe word for people to respect. There's "tadpole", but only her initial points of contact know that, and it's her own personal safe word, not one that is known or exercised by the rest of the party goers.
This is a non-consent fantasy. It's a piece of fiction that has disregarded the stuff that we as adults should do before play so that the drama and intensity can feel real to us, the readers. I'm fairly certain that no one here would be defending the actions of real people behaving like this or organizing events like this where there was no safeword and it wasn't thoroughly explained that certain bottles were spiked with laxatives and complete strangers who'd never so much as attended a munch or signed a document stating that they know the rules (ala the big cons) would be allowed to join in.

I don't think this is a non-consent fantasy, or at least not purely-so. So far, this comic has been much more of a "kink-exploration-self-discovery" story. If it is intended merely as a fap fantasy, it should be made explicit that it is such; but nothing so far in this comic has clearly indicated that we are to interpret this whole thing as smut and nothing more.
The things you mention are indeed troublesome, and I think it would be better if this comic had a clearer delineation between what is meant as fantasy and what is meant as a model of the character exploring their own kinks. But I think you are very wrong that no one here would be defending Matt's behavior in a more realistic context; I don't think the majority of these comments are made with the explicit understanding that this is merely a fap fantasy and would be intensely problematic if actually enacted.

I think the majority of people making these comments have never participated in BDSM and don’t know what it’s really like in practice. It’s a direct side effect of their knowledge on the subject being surface level. So I wouldn’t worry.
Sorry. Let me clarify. I suspect that this particular sequence we are reading has its roots non-consent fantasy. Not the story in its entirety. The elements we are witnessing also add more to the drama and tension of the scene, even though it is explicitly bad kink practice which I'm sure the author is very aware of.
On me being very wrong as to the quality of person reading this and defending the actions of the Dom: You may be right, but because this is entirely fictional right now, I'm going to continue to see the best in humanity so that I can continue functioning.
Fair?

The author has said that this is based on actual experiences to some degree.
Kindly fuck right off. Some people aren't in the right mindset during abuse to remember that they can safeword out of it.
Why do you immediately jump to hostilities? They are just voicing their opinion on a piece of artistic creation.
Part of the problem with safewording out in this situation is that its akin to being in an abusive relationship.
She is SUPPOSED to be the baby here. Nobody else seems to have a problem being treated this way. If she calls it quits, will Manda be disappointed with her? She seemed to know and be ok with him so will calling the safeword now be seen as disrespectful to this person that Manda clearly trusts? Will her boss just keep harassing her at work just out of earshot of anyone else since he knows her secret now? Sure he can't risk outing her at work, but he can still use this against her to make her do just about anything. there's always that fear even when you know that it's stupid and unfounded, that this person can and will ruin you. You have literally every chance in the world to bail out but you are so afraid and so humiliated that you just shut down and let it happen. You never say no, no matter how much you want to.

It's not really abuse until she blatantly says "NO" or the safe word... ...Personally I would have an adult 1:1 talk about boundaries if I ran into someone in a situation like this, but as noted he hasn't threatened or attacked her, only kept to his job as caregiver till Manda gets back. She could stop him at any time... there's literally a dozen people around, she just has to say so...
At the same time it's such an out-of-way scenario I'm expecting her to wake up and go to the actual party any time now! lol

What is said on page 224 is a pretty fucking explicit "no."
"She could stop it at any time" is hopelessly naive (there are several really serious power dynamics at play here, including the fact that he's her boss, ffs), and if you think that way you can very easily end up enabling this sort of abuse.

but it was not a no, she told him to go fuck himself, and if you paid attention he did change the way he was teasing her. he dropped the talk of the reallife stuff at that point.
Dropping talk of it does not get rid of the power dynamic, and I don't buy for a second that a responsible person can interpret that reaction as anything other than a "no."
Look, if you read the comments, Star herself has said that she considers Matt's behavior here to be abusive, and she's the one writing the comic. Stop defending the guy.

im not defending him at all. He is WAY out of line! However Star really needs to step up and let someone know!
Just wanted to comment that no, you don't have to use the word no or safe word for it to be abuse. In fact, many people who are abused go along with it.
Just seems like he is not taking some obvious hints. He could have asked what was wrong when she made the chainsaw comment and get the story from her. Instead it feels like he is trying to taunt and goad her into making a move.
That is exactly what he is doing. The subtext of what he is saying is being ignored. He is doing his best to humiliate her as much as possible, and he is basically acting like he is going to use this to blackmail her. He implied as much a few pages back. This guy is a pure shit head.
Lets not forget that star is managed by matt and that shes bunked off doing work to be there, hell he could of just been oh star arent you meant to be in work, and basically got her fired on the spot.
This entire comic is star breaking the rules and getting silly but humiliating punishments for it.
This entire comic is star breaking the rules and getting silly but humiliating punishments for it.
What he's "trying" to be doesn't matter at all, at this point - his treatment of Star has been inappropriate and abusive. This dude has no place at a meeting like this, and if he's not kicked out when everyone else realizes what he's done then they're on the hook for enabling his behavior, as well. It is already potentially a bit worrying that he was there in the first place, and that no one has intervened yet.
I mean, it was mentioned in a previous page that he knows Manda, so it wouldn't be worrying that he's there if someone else there trusts him. It wouldn't be fair to say he has no place there, it could simply be a case that he is oblivious to how he's coming across. I mean, looking back to the earlier pages, he wasn't exactly cruel to her, just seemed frustrated. In his eyes, he could just be thinking they're on decent terms, and might be trying to take this chance to show he can be less stern as he comes across in the workplace (Albeit doing a bad job of that). He knows Star, and it could be a case that after seeing her at abdl space dressed as she is, he put 2 and 2 together and then it could have clicked to him about how it might explain some of her behaviour, and he might realise some things about what star enjoys. (Or at least thinks he does).
In his eyes, he could be trying to simultaniously tease jokingly as a jab for her not being at work as agreed previously, and trying to warm up to her a bit.
Ultimately he isn't doing a great job, but I think he may very well have good intentions.

...That someone else trusts him makes it even more worrying, because apparently no one has yet noticed that he's an abusive shithead. That casts a bit of responsibility on the people who vouched for him.
Intentions do not matter here. This dude has nonconsensually exploited a real-world power dynamic to leverage someone into little treatment after they explicitly broke character and told them to fuck off. That's not okay. Defending this is not okay. If you don't see what's wrong here, I sincerely hope you're never trusted in a situation like this, either.

You are correct, that it makes the abuse worse when the abuser is trusted over the victim, they not only get away with it but the victim feels they are in the wrong.
Maybe, but as Star hasn't used her Safe Word, he could very reasonably assume that she's enjoying the teasing and humiliation just like she does with Manda. It's a very strange situation to be sure, but if Star isn't having fun she needs to let him know in a way that doesn't make it look like she's just roleplaying as a mardy infant.
Certainly. But whether he's being abusive or not is independent of how much he is trusted.
Pretty sure breaking character and telling him to fuck himself with a chainsaw repeatedly makes it pretty clear.
I know what abuse is. I have been in an abusive relationship that was both physical and psychological. This is not abuse.
Abuse would entail him hurting her, threatening to tell everyone at work, telling her how awful and ugly she is. It would be kicking her out of headspace and scaring her. Abusive people could care less about your happiness. They're like demons, only out to cause you pain and break you down.
Instead, he's being kind by keeping her in headspace. He's trying to keep her calm until Manda comes back. Abusive people would care less about anything but themselves.
Don't go crying abuse when obviously you have been lucky enough to not experience the pain that I did, and the nightmares and flashbacks that I still deal with.
This will be my only comment on this matter. Anything else risks flashbacks, which I'm trying to avoid.

Trying to keep someone in little headspace once they have broken character and told you to fuck off after you threatened to abuse a real-life power dynamic during play with them (without having obtained any sort of consent beforehand) is very much abusive behavior.
It may not be the kind of abuse you have experienced, but it is abuse, and it is wrong to normalize or defend it.

I completely agree with Math about this. I have been through every type of abuse and THIS is abuse completely. To utterly disregard her breaking out of little space and continue to do so is petty and down right cruel. He is mentally trying to break her however he can.. by being all kind and acting like there is nothing wrong. That is a classic sign of an abuser through and through! If you think any of this is okay... then I seriously think that you need to learn more about BDSM and the ABDL lifestyles.
Yes there are power dynamics at play here but part of the allure of the story is the ability to twist what “should be” and what “is” around and create conflict. Is Matt being outright derogatory to Star? No. Is he physically abusing her beyond what she signed up for when she walked through the green room doors? No. Is he perhaps causing her great emotional distress with his presence and mannerisms? Sure! Is it possibly abusive? Maybe slightly. Star is also an army vet and a non commissioned officer (corporal). She’s got thick skin and even was capable of cognitive planning when she was on her boss’s lap, thinking about the possible alternatives. Star, at least to me, seems extremely uncomfortable and likely wishes she was anywhere else. However this is the same girl who wore underwear under her diaper and disobeyed Miranda often. If star truly doesn’t want to do something a lot of times she figures a way around it. I don’t think Matt is unaware of this. I think maybe he’s genuinely trying to show Star a good time while teasing her a bit about the novelty of them both being here.
There are main different kinds of abuse and this is certainly one of them. drawing these pages has forced me to go through some...unpleasant stuff in my past that truthfully I thought I was over, drawing these pages hammered home to me just how NOT over I am about what happened to me, which considering it was 19 years ago kinda shocked me. I'm hoping that as the story progresses I'll be able to lay some demons to rest. :)
he wouldnt know her safeword. and he suggested manda would be upset if she didnt act good. (if i recall correctly) its also her FIRST outing, and she may be too nervous to break the magic for everyone. he is ALSO her boss, so if she did anything 'wrong' to him, he could take it out on her at work or expose her. (which he implied he could do) theres a LOT of reasons she isnt saying her safeword.
She couldve even just plain FORGOT because she was shocked by seeing him, and suddenly being in his lap. she isnt comfortable and she doesnt feel safe. she's probably paying more attention to the fact that her Boss is holding her in a soggy diaper than the fact that she can get out of this.

I'm sorry to hear it's brought up bad memories. :(

Please don’t try to gatekeep abuse. Just because it wasn’t the type of abuse you unfortunately had to endure doesn’t mean it isn't abuse. A previous page, the Author referenced him as being abusive.
The problem with leave it at the office is he didn’t, he brought up the workplace, and called her it on. Or being there, at the very least.
To me it seems that he doesn't know that its her first real time in this situation that she's still experimenting with this new side of her. So what he thinks is completely normal to treat a person like whoms is in to this. Its vastly embarrassing for her for it is her first time and he's he superior at work
About the under the thumb part
Star and Matt are in the UK's military, last i checked Matt is Sargent and Star is a Corporal assigned under him, she should already be as respectful as possible under him, as fun as it is to get under the skin of a CO when its deserved, she disrespected him on a regular basis and so far he has brought nothing about work into the meet, i think star is 'blowing it out of the water' so to speak with their initial and their continued reaction to the treatment, if Matt were to be replaced with Manda or tessa* in this scene i would notice no difference to the way she's being treated, only her reaction.

I really hope the last scenario you described become true, truth be told I myself don't see him as a bad guy, like I understand he may be making things kind of difficult by virtue of his mere presence there, but I mean, it's not like he did that on purpose, plus I don't see him threatening her with this information since it will raise the question of "well how do you know that?" and that might lead others to finding out about him too
He's not at all trying to be kind. Given what happens in future parts. He's not at all kind. He's an asshole & abusive.
I know, just felt like saying what I said on this reread of the story.
I really hope for an upcoming scene of manda bashing on him for being such an asshole to someone NEW to the community... (I wouldn't even be mad for her to throw him out...)
Already bad bringing up the conection to their job, but being this passively-agressive to a newcomer is a 100% no-go as far as I'd say.
I'm not even into this stuff myself, yet the story pulls me in so much, that I can still relate on so many levels...
Star, you're really amazing at this.

yeeaaaaah... i do agree. he's practically being a bully at this point. I hope this gets addressed later.
Sometime I like your plans, I hoping for star it doesn't take 100 pages :3
Still enjoying this comic :)

I sure hope so. At this point, nothing would please me more than seeing this fuckhead getting a severe thrashing, perhaps a severe spanking with a belt, and being ostracized from the ABDL community, along with his military career going up in flames.
*seconds this* He is playing that one role that makes me absolutely loathe the person... The character archetype wasn't addressed in a show and I cannot watch the show because of it, nor can I stand the actress who played the role, bad association.
Seriously hoping he gets his comeuppance
Seriously hoping he gets his comeuppance
I sure hope so too. I have a very deep personal hatred of bullies. At this point, this coming has lost its appeal to me.
'Cause Star's anxiety and personal deamons were not enough?! ;__________________;
(S'ok, I appreciate it intellectually even if emotionally it's rough)
(S'ok, I appreciate it intellectually even if emotionally it's rough)
Poor Star...I hope you can get some measure of revenge on him cause I know you want to enjoy the baby stuff and he is just ruining every single point of it for you. it's never fun when someone you know outside of a thing you like shows up in it and just sucks all the fun out of it. It's happened to me before and I don't like the feeling of it anymore than the next person
Second panel pulls my heartstrings. I think poor Star has been proper broken.
To be fair to him. I don't think he knows she is new. She is in the "naughty" room at an ABDL party with long time members and is dressed in an outfit that fits her perfectly. His assumption is probably that none of this new to her. Though after her initial outburst, he should have gotten the hint.
I love this page sammy looks amazing, I especial like that second panel looks so good! Keep up the good work!
I believe he is the one who is pushing Star's limits the most x3
Not in the best way tho..

Me too. He is either very good or needs to die and I just can't decide which. I'm dieing here from suspense.
Hey Star
i'm surprise you really haven't broken character it must be tough
i'm surprise you really haven't broken character it must be tough
It says something about either Star's self control or embarrassment that she hasn't spat out that soother and bitten his snout clean off.
Can you please not do them once a week, please... I love these comics and I really don't wannay have to wait a whole week just to get the next one, I know it doesn't matter what I think, but... there's always just so much suspense.
one a week sorry. ive always done 4 each month so one a week means everyone knows when the next update is, plus i have a job and other art i need to work on too so cant just do shine all the time
Honestly I'm glad you're taking your time. I love seeing all the passion you put in your work.
Thank you for your gift to us all
Thank you for your gift to us all
Some of us have poor impulse control and can't help but refresh multiple times throughout the week anyway. Anymore I mostly just visit FA for Shine updates, so the regular schedule is nice, I just miss seeing a sudden Shine-bomb every now and then. Still more regular than SU, so it's hard to complain, though I still want to because it's not a constant stream of stuff.
But yeah, you keep up the pace you need to, I'll just be hitting F5 on days I don't really need to.

once a week means we have something to look forwerd to just like a tv show benge waching is boring cuz you run out of stuff to wach its the same with comics
Be reasonable. It takes time to draw these pages, and we're getting them for free! All things considered once a week is actually quite regular.
Tomato face! I can't tell if your mad or super embarrassed. Which one is it, Star?
In all fairness, it reads to me like he started out with playful teasing once he'd recognised her, then when she made it clear she didn't like it he tried to reassure her it was okay by staying in character... although unless he's too dense to pick up on how she's feeling now, he really shouldn't keep going... ^.^
Huh...I don't think I've ever seen someone manage to look simultaneously embarrassed and yet also ready to kill someone before.
Clearly he wants a kiss.
Show him in the best Glasgow tradition how that goes...

She'll die if he changes her diaper. What Star wouldn't give to be back in the safety of Lure's crib at Manda's house.
You wanna hear my theory, Star?
I am pretty sure, as Star told Manda that she works at the military base in one of the earlier pages, I am sure she also knew from Matt that he works there too, so she probably just asked him.
It was all planned from Manda, I tell ya!

Suddenly I want to bit this guys head off his shoulders and spit it out into a pit of hot lava. ):<
I have two thoughts on how Star could/should behave:
1) start to cry, mostly because he's completely ruined her day. Then when Manda comes back, reach towards her. When/if Manda asks Star (probably in private) what's wrong, Star can lay it all out.
2) Use her safeword, or since Matt wouldn't know it, simply yell out "Safeword!" or "RED!" Then she can demand he take her booties and mittens off, go in search of Manda, and, well... talk about how Matt ruined everything.
Either way, I've thought for several pages now that Matt's going to be, or at least damn well deserves to be banned from the community. I used to be part of a BDSM group, and one of the first rules about it was you don't do things that would break scenes. Matt bringing up Star's "adult life" is scene breaking, and the fact he keeps pushing her.
If/when Manda finds out what Matt's done, I'd hope he'd be lucky to walk out of there on his own power, never to be part of the community again.
But maybe that's just the protective mommy in me talking.

I'd love for this to happen, and while this might be what does happen in real life events, this is a comic based in fantasy so really anything could happen, and I'm not going to get my hopes up or disappointed til the comic ends.
Too difficult to judge a half-finished story after all, though her feeling like her entire event is ruined is pretty depressing, and the idea of someone in an authority place not only making you feel so terrible but taking advantage of you like this is all too real and painful for a lot of people.

Your intuition and experiences here are correct. If Star doesn't safeword, Manda needs to chastise her later for not using her safeword.
My perception is that he genuinely isn't aware he's making this situation uncomfortable for her. Even after her first clearly annoyed outburst he seems to be trying to get her back in little space. It will be interesting to see how things pan out. There's already some established tension between the two. The only way well know for certain whether hes being vindictive is to see how they interact once they're back at work together.
I wonder if they show work in any future panels. I immagine they won't be able to with each other for awhile
At least he has enough respect not to force a change on her...I think.

Yeah, Here's my theory : He probably won't threaten to blackmail her/is genuinely into the scene as a care-taker, but he's having way too much fun finding out his worst-behaving employee is an adult baby. He's hamming up his usual shtick her, since he kinda wants to rub in how he's the one in charge of what happens next.
What will probably happen, is that he'll inevitably drive Star to the point of tears (Most likely within the next chapter or two), will realize too little too late that he went waaaaaay too far with the teasing, and that's when Manda will get back.

This. I'm really hoping he's not genuinely bad, just bad with boundaries and mistaking her actual discomfort for *ahem* "discomfort."
You can tell the extra effort you put into drawing this page. You've come a long way. It's been a fun ride to watch since page one.
I'm really hating how he's pushing it and making you feel like this. Why I oughta give him a good telling, even though I'd get in trouble.
What an interesting turn this story has taken...the ambiguity over the appropriateness of the situation and Matt's motives is well done! Can't wait to see where it goes.
I know he is being a bit of a jerk but at the same time he is also really treating her like a little. I would assume he understands that littles like that kind of thing and is just trying to play along. He IS at a babyfur party
Looking at Star, I feel like she might being to cry. She feels like Matt is ruining everything for her and she's obviously embarrassed about the whole thing on top of her negative feelings towards him. Waiting for the next part is going to be agony!
This is good humiliation. Star is in a position she feels real embarrassed at. But I really want her to realize why he's here and how he can't blackmail her without putting himself in an odd position.
Basically take a step back on her words like "Why is he doing here!?... Wait this is a abdl fetish place, could be this is also his fetish. Surely he wouldn't want that pasted on just like I don't." Like that.

Oh poor Star!!!! Made a needs to come quick before Matt completely ruins it all. He's already made her want to rethink all this and leave for good.
Given their military work relationship this kind of one way talk tells me that there is a lot of tension between them and a lot of it is actually due to star's rebellious attitude. Let's not forget Matt has been friends with Manda for quite some time. I'm 99.99998% sure he has talked with Manda about star more than once. Now manda talks to star not all that different from Matt but because Matt is a male and a work superior, it changes how she's embarrassed. I don't think he is being mean at all. I think he is finally telling her what he's always wanted to say so things between them can change for the better. Won't see it right away until more of the story comes out. But bu the end of this I can only guess there is going to be less tension between the two of them at the very least. Manda is a good judge of character after all and that should be very evident on how and why she figured out star. Just some food for thought i guess.
P.S. this is getting better and better every week!
P.S. this is getting better and better every week!
I don't know about all that; I think its too early to tell. It seems like quite a stretch to think Manda knew that Star and Matt were work associates. She could have drawn the connections, but I don't think there's enough evidence of it. We know Manda will push Star's buttons, but none of this seemed planned, remember Matt offered to watch Star for Manda, Manda didn't ask him. True, he's probably demonstrated himself to be a decent enough person to Manda in other circumstances for her to so quickly trust him to watch Star, but I think he's quickly demonstrating that his good nature will go out the window under the right circumstances. I don't think he's handling the situation with Star well at all. I guess he *could* be under the impression that if Star was uncomfortable she'd drop her safe word to end the roleplay which she hasn't done; he doesn't know what she's thinking after all. But at the same time, how careless to not consider that what's currently happening to her could have her feeling so terrified and embarrassed that she feels trapped, especially since he's given no indication that he won't do something horrible like blackmail her at work. Maybe Manda knows he wouldn't do that, but how would Star know?
Idk if I were in his shoes, I'd be handling the situation a lot more delicately. Did she shirk her work responsibility to be there? Sure, but that's something they could discuss at work on Monday. He hasn't said anything to reassure her that he won't completely ruin her life.

OHHHHHH i cant wait to see if he has a pationate and understanding side to him X3c
He comes over to me as playing at boundaries although his offer to change Star can be seen as showing consideration to how she feels having 'used' them as after all would you want to be in that position for as long as Manda takes to take care of other business. I'd take the authors word regarding dealing with talked about issues as is so matters will become more aright folks.
Worst feeling ever :c i feel for you lil kit. Leaving really would sound very nice
I’m actually starting to have a hard time telling if he’s actually showing some shred of kindness, or if he’s still just trying to make Star feel as humiliated as possible. o_O
I'm honestly kind of worried at this point that Star has forgotten her Safeword. Or even worse, she doesn't understand that she is allowed to use it at any time she feels it is necessary... I hope things get better soon because this is scaring me a good deal >.<
Didn't consider that, and yeah its possible... of course Martellus wouldn't know what her safeword was, though if she keeps screaming "tadpole" I'm sure he'd get the idea.
I really wonder what Manda's reaction to her little kitten using her diapers will be, in fact we haven't seen Tessa in awhile maybe she will rescue star or maybe Marcus
Question is, if Matt finds out he's ruined her mood or fun, how will he respond?
Eventually the heat seeps through even if the moisture doesnt. Trust me on this one.
wait what?!
wait what?!
If you have a diapered partner feeling them get warm and squishy is kinda awesome.
The shading on this is truly fantastic! Honestly I think it's great that she does one every Saturday because she has more time with it. Just my opinion though.
THE PART THAT IS DRIBING ME NUTS IS THE FACT THAT THIS WHOLE THING HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR LIKE A MONTH! AHHHHHH!
There's 2 things I'm thinking about with this situation.
1. I dont think people realize that if he ousts her at work people will know he is a caretaker in this fetish as well essentially ousting himself. Im guessing being a Caretaker at one of these events wouldn't be as easy as just showing up.
2. I'm beginning to think Manda knew who Matt was and is intentionally trying to get Star to understand she isn't alone even in her work place. Kind of an Eye opening kind of situation.
But... I could be and am probably wrong so I look forward to seeing more. :)

I am also hoping that Matt is being painted as a Villain right now but will end up being a fan favorite as his character develops more past the "Big Mean Boss" Intro. :3
Point 1 has been discussed on every page since he was introduced beyond just 'one panel, maybe Star was just imagining him?'. So for the past, Iunno, at least 10 pages probably.
Everyone's loosing their heads and all i can think is, man this guy knows how to press all the right buttons for a AB/DL. like in my play with my girl, i love having the outside world and being ratted out hinted at and being treated like a baby and babyish things being pointed out its what i dream of in a little interaction. Despite the drama in the comments im rely enjoying this part.
not every AB/DL enjoys this level of humiliation, though. Especially the new ones who don't yet know what they are or are not comfortable with. There is enjoying being treated like a baby then there is being absolutely humiliated in front of your boss while you are helpless to leave the situation. Baby time should not be this stressful.
yessssss...... but what does he have to go off that this is her first time or that shes not into it. I'm just wishing people lay off ragging on him, like wait for him to do actually bad stuff. Star can tell him to stop, in a grown up way at any point right now.
He has done bad stuff. That's the point. Matt's behavior over the past few panels of this comic would be completely unacceptable in any real-world AB/DL meetup that isn't run by total shitheads. That's not to say that pieces of this scenario can't be incorporated as part of reasonable kink play if discussed thoroughly beforehand between consenting parties, but if it goes down the way this has been shown, it's abusive. If you don't see that, I think you need to do a bit of reflection.
Granted, this comic has been a bit flakey at times on the degree to which the depicted interactions constitute acceptable real-world kink play before now, as well, but never to this degree.

to be honest, I think that's the whole point. This is showing that not all play is happy and safe. sometimes there are stressors and assholes who wreck the fun for you. This is a thing that actually happens sometimes and it is just as important to show as the safe fun stuff is.
So long as this is not played off as something that is ok and Matt gets told off by someone who is not currently dying of embarrassment, then it will be fine. At that point, it's no longer a noncon fantasy that makes people uncomfortable but a bad situation that she is saved from and can heal after. It would give some resolution to others who have maybe been in a similar situation where they were abused by a play guardian and shows people that a proper guardian will never treat their little like that.

Yeah, I get that it may well be the point; the troublesome thing is that so much of the audience seems to not get it.
ive noticed that. it seems that if there is a kink comic where things are cute and playful then it all has to always be happy and smiles. having someone feel something else that might be real is kind of a no-no for people.

Crazy Headcanon: The above is actually his intention. He's deliberately playing the "bad dom" role to teach Star what kinds of people to be wary of and test her ability to deal with them.

why does this remind me of those guys who try to attack girls in bars then when the cops show up they go "it was just a joke! i was just seeing if she was paying attention for the REAL creeps!"
Wait, people actually try to claim that?! I thought the whole "hurt them to toughen them up" thing was just done in either fiction or military training (wherein the latter are at least upfront about their intentions).
but its not a real world is it and secondly, discussed thoroughly before hand? honestly who in the world would ever be a caretaker and agree to take care of another little if they had to break them out of little head space and have them fill out an agreement form just to make sure what was okay and what wasn't. people have the ability to voice no, the instances that happens then its not okay to continue and push but until the other person tells you to stop in a clear way ( because believe me little's sometime use naughty adult words just to get in trouble theirs a difference between saying fuck you, and no stop or im not comfortable with this.) a care taker is just trying to help the little feel immersed and happy.
...I sincerely hope you're never trusted in a caretaker role. I don't know what more to say.
How about something of an actual, substantive argument. Instead of an off handed comment that will probably get my little girl in trouble because she will have the urge to defend her "daddy".
Actually, most people sit down and discuss things with their partners, be they long term or pick-up-play. Negotiation is a pretty important part of any sort of BDSM scenario including AB/DL.
As for the part about no and such language, using "naughty adult worlds" like fuck you, no, etc count as literal no's until otherwise agreed on. You don't just assume CNC. No is a safeword until agreed otherwise.
A Caretaker is there to help with the immersion, sure, but also for safety. And that can include checking in on that person to make sure it's still that way. The top learns their body language, learns to listen to their words, and check in with them to make sure that they are okay. And that happens much more in the beginning when you don't know each other as well.

yeah, no is in general always the word that you stop by, im saying in my experiences , littles will cuss to get in trouble, not to say no, what im saying is their is currently no reason to assume he is bad. if she were to say anything to him asking him to stop and he didn't emiditly then yeah thats bad behavior but caretakers are not mind readers, id be honestly irritated if somebody stopped before ever action they took and asked, " is this okay" and from exsperince dom gets tired of having to ask on any but the most extreme things. #matthasntdoneanythingyet
Not all littles cuss to get into trouble. Not all littles use adult language and not all littles are brats. To assume so is pretty dangerous territory. Her anger and her body language has clearly said that she's uncomfortable. Not to mention bringing work issues in or using her real name without permission which are both big no-nos.
You don't have to ask after each action, but checking in often is good. Especially when they are appearing uncomfortable.
As you said, caretakers aren't mind-readers. So it can't be assumed that she's into brattiness or humiliation or anything else.
It being an experienced dom means little when you're with a new partner because you're not experienced with them. You can't always assume that because previous partners have acted in a certain way, that a new partner will as well. Experience is good, but it doesn't mean you know everything. Especially since experienced may or may not mean "good" experience.

literally everybody who wasnt a self centered dick.
Full complete consent is VITAL in any kink community. What if, as a dom, your sub saying no was a turn on for you? What if saying no was part of your subs play and you didnt know that? Its extremely important to lay out boundaries right from the get-go and not just wing it as you go along.

note "another" little. i get it for some one your going to be caretaker for for a decent amount of time and who you are going to do more serouse play with but this scenario is ten minutes tops, unless your going to do something seriously out thier just treating them childish for that short of a time shouldnt require you to know the person in depth, just use commen sense . may be im just not a snow flake but i dont think everyone in the world is a vase in terms of emotions, its not that hard to say you dont care for the treatment you are reciving. as far as if no is part of the play then you break characture it shouldnt matter if its a turn on or not the instant it seems a little is saying no you stop, yes boundries if your going to be long term taking care other wise it just seems over sensitvie to walk egg shells were common sense would serve just as well,
Seems he lost common sense when she clearly told him she wasn't okay with the treatment he was giving and he continued on.
Saying no in play is sometimes much easier said than done. Especially with the inherent power exchange here in him being her boss.

I can’t help but feel bad for Star Ike she’s just so cute and couldn’t help it. But at the same time she was a little vulgar to her boss and he can be a little rude back
So I know my post is going to be on the bottom but uhh this is great and it seems you have a lot of people disscussing about it and I love your art. Btw I’m not 20 I just did that so I can see some of your pages that I wouldn’t be able to see if I said I was 13 :| so thank you for makeing this and err bye
Holy crap, that loooong comment chain above...
This is a fictional comic, people...
This is a fictional comic, people...
It may be fictional, but it has evoked some very strong, negative feelings and memories.
I get that, it just amazes me that people are ripping into each other over it. It's looking like a political forum.
It is fictional, but the author has stated that much of it, including this segment, is based on actual experiences.
I get that, it just amazes me that people are ripping into each other over it. It's looking like a political forum.
Probably because, since it's based on actual experiences, there's the concern that people think such behavior is actually okay instead of just okay in a fictional setting. Which is problematic at best and scary, potentially harmful at worse.
Plus, for a lot of people this hits kinda home. A lot of people have dealt with people like Matt unfortunately.

Damn. Her first diaper wetting should have been a pleasant, relaxing experience, and instead has been ruined for her.
Now that I remember, you were not in a hurry to go to your work as a soldier? Where is the duty in your priorities soldier?
I kinda wanna just see star snap and go out on him then have manda learn the truth then have her kick his ass or diaper him up and spank him.
Once again manda should be able to see what's happening to star from where she is. Even if this parts not that bad manda said to star she can see her from there because she is at the public changing table.
Manda could possibly be able to see star but she certainly wouldnt be close enough to hear and she would also be paying more attention to the soggy lion boyfriend of hers than whats going on over on the sofa on the other side of the room. So yeah its possible that manda may have looked over one or two times but withut hearing the words or seeing stars face (stars sat facing Marellis so manda wouldnt beable to see stars expressions) manda probably has no clue that theres a problem.
Starting to like Unka Matty. He should be a good guy to be friends with and trusted by Manda. Odds are Manda already knows Matty is involved with the military and could have a work relationship with Star of some kind. Also Start did ditch her responsibilities and is a bad girl, what is Matty supposed to do? Reward that behavior?
I'm giving him a chance, I think Star and Matty are going to become close before too long.

He is pushing it 0_0
I see star punching him in the face, not going to lie I kinda want to see that XD
Even if she don't count you do that as a non canon picture?
I don't hate him by the way ;)

Manda is gonna come back to her new kitten crying and stressed right out <_<
as a side note, its amazing how many people in these comments has never been in an abusive situation that they felt helpless to leave despite the door being wide open.
they always tell you that youre not alone in that situation but then you look at stuff like this and really come to understand why nobody ever seeks help. Who would ever believe you?

Agreed. Like, I get people who are new to this and don't understand fully the issues here. But it's pretty uncomfortable how many people think he's being perfectly okay, especially those who are claiming to be experienced. O.O
Never thought I would get comment on this again but here we are. As a dominant 'matty' should not only look at her body language but listen to what shes saying. A good dom knows when their submissive, even if they are a little (or ab) and know when to stop and check in. Submissives often need to be asked if they are alright, what their coliur is or if they need to safe word
For those who dont know most people use a traffic light systum in bdsm/cglo relationships
Green - Im completely fine we can carry on I have no issues!
Yellow - I need to slow down this is getting a bit much for me
Red - STOP! Do not go any further! Time to comfort and stop, make sure they are okay!
While I rather not explain why I know this or what my life entails I can tell you dominants sometimes also need to use these! Safewords wont always be remembered by the submissive, expecially if the dominant is putting them into a submissive headspace like Star is in, things can quickly get overwhelming and turn abusive if not carefully done, this is the same for submissives to dominants! Just because they are the dominant partner dont mean they too dont need looking after :)
Gonna end it hear as thats a mouthful 😅
Edit: Please dont take this as pure truth this is what I mainly know through personal experiances whether talking to friends kn such communities or practicing it myself, whichever it is you wont know. Just please note this is not fact more opinion! Thank you!

Good domming or CAREtaking is an act of service.
If you are not paying attention to or fanatically obsessed with what the sub/dependant wants/needs you are not only doing it wrong your are exploiting.

I love this twist in the story. Can't wait to see how it pans out for Star inbetween work vs little time having to interact with him in both places.
boy if gally wasnt 90% of the time on a changing table, he'd be gnawing on matt's head with pure anger
I understand if you can't say, but can we get an estimate on how long before Miranda pops up? I'm honestly not sure how long a diaper changing would actually take anyways. ^_^;;;;
depends on how much the little moves or wriggles and wether the person changing them has changed them before or not and are used to them.
I like this series so much mainly because I relate to star in someways and I actually wish I could meet someone like manda and lure keep up the amazing work
star said the thought tessa worked on the base too so does he know both manda and tessa or did he meet manda through tessa and tesa has tod him and he just is being a dick because hes known all along and is a good actor even though hes a prick
So, it feels kinda odd but I'm starting to agree with some that it feels like this was kinda planned? I went back through some of the pages and when you first meet Tessa, she calls Star a kitten and Star swears she knows her. Then, when Star goes over for the second time, it seems random that Manda asks Star if she works on base, and that high stress jobs make certain people to take up diapers for stress relief. When Tessa reappears, it's speculated in Star's mind Tessa may work on base. So when eventually Marellis appears at the party and Manda saying that she has known him for awhile, it all seems more than coincidence. All 3 of them may be planning something but who knows
(Mental prep for the thumbs downs.)
So from my perspective I can’t see this as very abusive in terms of what’s actually happening. Yes chainsaw moment was very explicit in saying your an asshat. Stars record isn’t clean. She constantly disrespects her boss and has even defied a direct punishment that was given because of her disrespect. She gets called out on this and responds aggressively. She hasn’t said “No stop.” Or her safewrpds. And considering her response, she sounds annoyed at being called out rather than anything else.
Now flipside, yes, Marellis may be going too far in terms of teasing, however his tone changed immediately after she responded aggressively. As mentioned previously, would people see this differently if the characters were changed but the situation was the same in terms of the speech and stars responses? Also would the reaction of the outside eye be changed if the characters were genderswapped? (Yes this may seem menial or pointless but sometimes our innite stereotypes of society’s view on gender can change a way we picture something.)
Now I mean no disrespect to anybody who has been abused in a manor similar to this. However considering the characters history together I can’t see this as abuse and see this more as teasing revenge.

I would like to agree with this, but I think he passed that line early on. He used her real name (something she hates and he would surely know this by working with her) as well as talking about work. These are no-no's in the community without prior permission. When she clearly made it know she wasn't okay with things, he didn't stop. He changed tactics, but he also added in manipulation about how Manda told her to believe (he knew she had already gotten into trouble, after all, by watching the spanking) and also about how he is friends with her (which encourages the idea that he's doing acceptable things though he's not as well as placing doubt in her mind that she could go to Manda about him).
No doesn't have to literally be the world "No." From her words, used to her body language, to the fact that there is a power dynamic at place he was using to his advantage, she is clearly not enthusiastically consenting. Even if she is currently going along with it now, that doesn't make it okay that he continued despite that.
It doesn't matter if it's a Big who's uncomfortable or a women teasing a male like this.
As for Star being a tough girl, it's a fallacy that such people can't be abused. We've also seen Star freeze up and freak out before such as when she went her diaper and clothes. But even tough girls can be taken advantage of.

Welp, so much for my "tough but fair leader whose rough exterior hides a heart of gold" headcanon.
I think it's interesting how a lot of folks are pinning Matt as a villain right away. I don't disagree with it entirely but, in a party situations and communities like this everyone is held accountable for their actions. Consent is a big factor in preventing uncomfortable or compromising situations like the one star is in right now. I am waiting to see how this turns out.
I am hoping Matt will do the right thing and keep these two parts of their lives separate but, who knows. Having your kink life overlapping with your professional life is going to lead to some problems.

He's a dick and deserves his come-uppance. He can see he is causing her pain and anguish and the setting/safe-word STILL do NOT excuse mental abuse like that - he is in a "privileged" position where he has information about her that no other person at the place would have and he is using it against her, that's more than dom that's just cruel... Seriously this makes me really uncomfortable to read these pages, I hope it resolves soon (though I'm impressed at the level of emotion you can pull from me, an unfeeling accountant who's not really into the AB side except that YOU make it seem so... intriguing...) ;)
Hope he gets forced to wear full sissy baby stuff against his will and many photos taken to share around all his seniors and subordinates in the military for that, F***ng deserves it...
Also wow, a LOT of comments!
