badhedgehog said it, but heres a more in deepth answer: hes a mix of brazilian tapir and mountain tapir. he also got a couple anteater elements on him, like the ears and the (not visibly here but) tail.
This is such a cool and unique OC! I haven't seen an anthro tapir before!
every time i see this character he becomes more and more beautiful <3 amazing work
it's fucking awesome seeing less used species like this ahh <3 i love himmm
I'M EXCITED ABOUT THIS MOVEMENT TBH
I want more unusual animals in the fandom D:<

i keep coming back to this, it's so well done i cant stop looking at it euhfyhkjhhhh
hoooly heck i love literally everything about this?? i keep scrolling up so i can actually point out what i like but nope it's everything! good snoot, 5/5 stars
Great job!
I'm always unsure about whether to draw tapir teeth more anthropomorphized or realistic (since their teeth do look messed up irl, haha) but you pulled off a realistic take extremely well.

thanks!!
id say i didnt go too far from the original biz, just made it on a more carnivorous order (with the lower canines in front of the upper canines).
tapir teeth tend to wear out with time which makes self cleaning hard so old & wild tapirs will have those completely messed up nubby teeth going towards all directions in the brightest yellow-black colour combo you can imagine. with the right care and diet their incisors wont wear out so drastically and their teeth can look fine as heck B)

This is amazing! I love tapirs so much, and I love the expression in this piece; it reminds me of the last time I got to see a tapir and it made a similar face! <3
I've never seen an anthro tapir before and I'm glad the first one that got the chance to meet my eyes is very well drawn. I'm loving your stuff. ♡
