Physiology: Cross Stitch is a creature of seemingly ectoplasmic origin. Her body at first glance seems to be made of dark velvet, pink satin, and blue yarn, but her "flesh" is far more pliant than such fabrics would suggest, practically amorphous. While maintaining her most commonly witnessed humanoid shape, she resembles a malevolent plush of sorts, with tears and yarn marking her facial expression. Her mouth, when closed, is only signified by six yarn stitches spread in a line. When speaking, a tear opens beneath yarn stitching, revealing a glowing pink interior, similar to her eyes, which then seals back up seamlessly when she closes her mouth again. She is rarely seen without her pink scarf, which too seems to possess some nature of supernatural qualities. Its ends seem to undulate and fray, holes appearing and disappearing with severity increasing as they near the tips, giving an almost fiery visage. The tip of her head "ribbon" posses a similar quality, albeit on a lesser scale, but does reveal that her interior seems to be hollow, the pink glow shown by her eyes and mouth not present in the rest of her body. Contact with her body has remained inconclusive regarding her qualities; While it"s generally agreed that she possesses velvet and satin qualities in her dark and pink areas respectively, her temperature has been defined as both warm and cold to the touch, and though she"s generally been referred to as squishy or soft, on occasion she"s also been determined to be damp, icy, or even bristly. This is information is somewhat unreliable, as attempts to contact her usually yield in feeling nothing but cold air, as she is capable of phasing in and out of material existence at will.

Personality: Cross Stitch, better known simply as Stitches, is a self defined "Taunting Haunt". She revels in pulling pranks and causing mischief to alleviate her boredom. She rarely ever reveals herself, preferring to roam about invisibly to harass her targets without them knowing, often making her pranks look like coincidences or accidents. When she"s not bothering people, she"s been known to craft dolls and plush toys, often resembling people she"s seen or interacted with to some degree, sometimes using such toys to disturb her targets in some way. Despite her troublemaker nature, her malevolence does not seem to go any further than being a pest; She"s never outright harmed her targets. She"s actually rather reserved about her own feelings, and spends much of her time hiding away from anyone"s contact. In the rare occasion that she actually talks to anyone, it"s usually to taunt or harass them further. As she"s the only entity of her likeness in Kingspine, most believe her to be a myth, in the rare event they"ve even heard of her at all, and she seems keen on keeping it that way.
