A strange sort of vertigo feeling mostly, being so low to the ground is one of the many new experiences I got with this suit.
It takes a lot of time to get used to walking as a monitor, instinctively you would try to stand on your legs. But since that is not possible it feels like crawling.
It is a nice experience though :)

Fire salamanders are fun to mess with. Just felt like making it a little more lustrous.
Excellent pose and understanding of both human and reptile anatomy, you bring fantasy closer to reality :)
There is a lot to like about this piece, from the changing body to the reflective suit. The little bit of hair that has yet to recede is a smart decision that shows your experience with the subject.
I am glad to be depicted by an artists such as you, plus I get to be a monitor lizard for a bit ;)
You work inspires me to study and experiment with my art more as well, not only for how you portray transformations but also how you try new lighting situations.
But for now I will have to wait for the timer to expire, cant really turn the dial like this haha.

Well, you've been pushing what I'm capable of in a number of ways lately. It can be very rewarding to do something like this for someone, which is a big reason I continue to even stay open for commission work. Even more worth it if it's going to make other people create their own thoughtful work.
Enjoy your lizard form and don't forget that you can re-program and customize settings. Get the most out of your suit.

Another job well done. This lizard looks as you would imagine it in its natural state based on what's already changed. The black and yellow contrast well with the dark and bright color combo going on. You can also see that going on in the background with the lighting.
Things going from the (stretch marks?) And the way he's positioned with his hands and feet further establishes what's so nonhuman about this character going through this transition.
My favorite part though is the suit effect. It looks so wavy like jelly. Reminds me of that kind of morphing effect you'd see in shows like Star Trek and what not.
Needless to say I enjoyed this picture

Gel-like quality of the suit upon activation is something to re-visit. Thanks for pointing that out. It's fun to have something that's rather human forced into an inhuman stance. It's something that can add a lot to a transformation, especially when it's supposed to be expressed in a single image.
The inhuman stance thing is pretty common I'm sure. That might be the best thing about transformation in general among other things such as the facial expression.
Speaking of I didn't mention that in my initial comment. Really like how there's only one eye open and the other is closed. I'm not sure if it implies the stress on the body is causing the guy to involuntary close his eye and the other looking at the shifting hand. You can only imagine the thoughts going through his head as he sees his own body shifting before him. Of course the transformation was done intentionally so it wouldn't be shocked or surprised but even still the thought of seeing your body turning into something else is just so hard to comprehend you'd still see it as a dream. Unbelievable!

Faces are always important and that sort of thing is what takes a lot of work when portraying this stuff.
Oh yeah definetly the reaction is the most critical part of any transformation. Without it the transformation would have less impact because we want to see how they react to said change. Happy, scared, sad either one.
