There are few things in life I take seriously. Paying my bills, caring for my loved ones and my spirituality are chief among them. Originally this tattoo was just the two kanji ("Mizu Majo", or water witch) but I decided for my birthday last year that I wanted to do something with it.
So here it is... purple and red flames for passion and loyalty, and my element, water, splashing up out of a cauldron. This was a custom piece designed just for me by the artist who completed it, Rhett from Illustrated Man, Kansas City.
I intend to get more pieces done in the future.

^^ Thanks again! X3
PS: Is Anubis your patron deity? I'm curious since I havent' found anyone else who actually worships/works with him.

He is very much my patron. I'm so very happy you were able to discern that! I'm not the only one... I've met a couple of other jackals that follow Him. <3
Very cool. :) I just get wary lately since I seem to attract ones that are either nonactive online or otherwise, or are in it for the 'fursona' RPing thing. I'd asked Anubis about any offspring/etc, and the only one he had was the snake-headed deity (name escapes me) of purifying water, which was why I got curious when I read you wrote 'Anubis's daughter' (I've been running into RPing ones that claim to really be that way and I'm like... aaack, conflicting answers!). So I'm like... okay, awesome- gotta find another Anubis-patron person around!
How many of us (us = actual people w/ Anubis as their patron) d'you think there are? [wonders]

The character is actual offspring, but I'm just another one of his "human kids". I know of at least 3 more of 'us' in the fandom, and probably another 5 or 6 that aren't furries. Overall, I really couldn't tell you how many followers there are nowadays... some of them may have to be secretive due to the oppression of city-state religious mandates (i.e. required Muslismism, etc.). So... I'd say several, just finding them would be a trick and a half.
^^ ahaaah. [nods] That makes some sense. I've been going nuts lookin' for 'em. >0< shame, too. :< I know that some kemetic reconstructionist/orthodoxy people worship Anubis, but only in the context of 'as part of a pantheon', not 1-on-1.
So what's it like for you, if you don't mind my being curious? :) When I work with him I get a bit of a trickster aspect (up to and including episodes of "WTF!? How the hell did that just happen!?") to him. A friend of mine's also gotten similar, while a third friend of mine who's worked with him once or twice gets more of the taxidermist/preservationist side.

Where exactly is he located. I've wanted to get a tattoo. A little simpler than that but from the looks of yours he does excelent work.
Rhett is amazing, and works fairly quickly. He's at a place called Illustrated Man on North Oak Trafficway in Gladstone, Missouri. It's like half an hour or so from KCK. I can take you by there when you come to town next! I'll warn you though... tis not cheap. Not by a long shot.
Not cheap? I may have to put it off for a bit then. My idea since I'm so into cars and racing and my Montecarlo a pair of tire tracks and the backend of a Montecarlo.
Depends on how big you want it, where you want it, how detailed and how much color. I can take you over there and you can ask for a ballpark quote. Doesn't hurt to ask. I've heard good things about a lot of place in the area... so it might not hurt to shop, LOL.
