Baralock finally comes to life with a fully fleshed-out reference sheet! Was gonna be getting some more commissions of him in the future, so I figured it'd be much easier to have a useful ref sheet to show people, rather than showing them one of little kid Furlock and saying "okay this but BUFF".

Short answer: Yes.
Long answer: This facet of my character has absolutely nothing to do with diapers or any sort of AB/DL things. That's what the normal, younger, cuter version of Furlock is for. This is the aspect of me that enjoys art like this, and the other Furlock is for the AB/DL stuff that I enjoy. I don't like mixing them, so I developed two different versions of the character that exist independently of each other.

Ah, that makes sense. I can understand keeping the two separate. Just thought I'd ask since I noticed the buff Furlock only seems to wear fundoshi. He looks good btw.
Yep, that's the reason.
Honestly, as the comment below shows, I really don't like people commenting about stuff like "oh where are his diapers?" and stuff like that because it makes me feel like I can't enjoy other things OTHER than diapers. Like all the art I post *HAS* to be about that and nothing else. Really makes me not WANT to post stuff.
I'm not saying you did that. You asked an innocent question, so I answered.

Oh, I didn't know you get comments like that often. I haven't been following you long enough to realize that, so I'm sorry if I struck a nerve.
Please keep posting them, the dual character concept is really neat. Not a whole lot of people do that, I think.

It's alright, really. Your comment was just fine. It's comments like "Where's his diaper?" or "Would be better if he was wearing a diaper!" that really piss me off.
Thanks! I'm glad you like the idea of a character having different "faces" so to speak. It's something I've always found rather appealing.

Yes, how careless of me to completely forget to tell the artist to add in something on a reference sheet I paid so much money for. How did I ever possibly forget about my singular fetish that absolutely must be present in each and every piece of art I commission every single time? :V
Sarcasm aside, no, he isn't missing anything, because he's not the same character. Baralock is the version of Furlock that I use to explore and enjoy other things that I'm into that AREN'T AB/DL related.
To be perfectly honest with you, I really dislike getting comments like this, because it makes me feel as though every time I post something that ISN'T about diapers, I'm going to get comments like this telling me how my art should be. How my character should be. It's kinda upsetting, you know? I'd appreciate it if you didn't leave comments like this anymore, at least on art that I post that isn't AB/DL related. Please and thank you.

First up let me apologize - it was not my intent to shame you or box who you are as an individual into just one kink that you like. I was not trying to say that you had to have it and was merely jesting. However since it is something that you are passionate about, I will do as you ask and refrain my comments to being close-minded to the possibilities that make who you are as a person and furry. ----Again I apologize
Secondly, as a long time follower of your gallery and work, I'm eager to see what new things you bring about and I will continue to support your creativity and uniqueness.
Lastly - regardless of my original comment - I do enjoy this fresh take to your character since it shows off in my opinion a more "mature, and defined" look to what FURLOCK looks like. He looks more distinguished and anime which gives himself more expression in his reactions.

Thank you. I really appreciate that. It's just something I'm rather sensitive about, and it bothers me a fair bit when people make comments like that.
Don't get me wrong, it'll pretty much always mostly be diaper content and stuff when I post art. It's just that that's not ALL I'm into, so I like posting other stuff, too.
I'm glad you like this version of Furlock! Thank you! I'm really happy with how the artist drew him previously, so when he was up for doing a reference sheet of him, I was pretty delighted!

why is the caption "baralock" and not "furlock" like how it is in the image
"Bara" is a Japanese moniker for certain male body types. It's a range of everything from muscular to chubby and everything in between. I kinda jokingly refer to the two versions of Furlock as Baralock and Shotalock.
Oooohhhhhh okay so it's not a new character but a beefier nickname ;)
Ehhhh... it both is and isn't a new character. The little kid version of Furlock doesn't grow up to be the big, beefy Furlock. They're two totally separate instances of the same character. Think of it like a multiverse thing. They both exist at the same time, just in different places. Make sense?
Okay, first? This is the best comment I've ever received in my history on this site. Thank you SO much! I am seriously *incredibly* flattered that you care enough about my character to ask!
Baralock is really just the name I gave to this version of the character to differentiate him from the kid version. They'd still both have Furlock as their name, though. The kid version is just the "original" version of the character, since Baralock was designed a bit later to fill a different niche of art. They're actually two versions of the same character, both originating from a kind of split in the character's history. I like to joke about it being canon that when Furlock was a baby, one of his dads was too sleepy the morning they were making a bottle for him, and used protein powder instead of powdered formula, he liked the taste, and that's how Baralock came to be. XD
Both kid Furlock and Baralock definitely know how to fly a Wolfen. Furlock goes with his dad (Wolf) and his papa (Don Karnage from TaleSpin) when they fly rather often. With neither of them being your shining example of a model parent, they've taught the boy quite a lot of things, such as how to fly a Wolfen, how to shoot a blaster, how to fight with knives/swords, how to pickpocket, etc. Lots of fun, not-exactly-legal things that you'd expect the son of a mercenary and a pirate captain to pick up! They both care for him a great deal and would never let him come to any real harm, but they also don't exactly coddle him, either. As such, Furlock's pretty independent, but that leads to him being VERY insistent that he's "too old" for some things, which works great for the embarrassing things that generally happen to him. In short, he's both mature and immature for his age, but in all the right ways to make him a lovable little runt.
Baralock is definitely most like Wolf in the sense that he's very business-minded and knows how to fight, but he also got a lot of his personality from Karnage. He'll do the job you hire him to do, but he knows how to talk you into adding a few more zeroes to the end of that paycheck, too. He's not afraid to do things that might not be exactly "legal", but that doesn't mean he's a slave to money and would do something such as blowing up a school or something awful like that. His mercenary company's motto is "For the right price, anything", but he's still got a sense of ethics. If you DID want to pay him to blow up a school or something as awful as that, you'd have to have enough money to do it, and there's basically no price you could name that would be high enough for him to take the job. Essentially there would never be a "right price" for a job he wouldn't do.
I haven't thought up anything like a rival for him, and I don't think that I will, but I do like the idea of that dynamic. I picture him more as like Dante from the Devil May Cry series. Someone you'd have to seek out in the bad part of town. Someone who'll take any job if you've got the credits for it. Someone who's not really concerned with who's fighting who or why, so long as he gets paid in the end. He's someone who's kind of nebulous in terms of morals and ethics, since he's basically loyal to money and whoever's got more of it, so if he were to have a rival, it'd probably be someone who likes doing things by the books and always following the law rather closely. I feel that that gives him a real freedom to his character. Never so evil as to be a villain, but never so noble as to be the hero, either. Moral ambiguity leads to character depth in that regard, I feel!
I could probably go on, but hopefully that at least answers the questions you had for now! I really enjoyed getting to type this up, so I hope you like the answers! Please let me know what you think, and thank you again for such a wonderful comment! It really made my day!

Man, once again, you have just... entirely made my whole day so much better with your incredibly well thought out comments. I cannot convey how much this means to me. Thank you. Honestly and sincerely, thank you.
I'm delighted to hear that you like Don Karnage, too! He was honestly my first furry crush growing up, as that scene from the pilot episode where he calls Kit "son" gave me ALL KINDS of funny feels. I used to daydream about being his adopted son and helping him do all kinds of pirate-y things.
You're dead-on with your assessment of Wolf, too. That's exactly what I love about him and why I've fallen for any kind of mercenary-type character like him!
Karnage is most definitely where Furlock gets the majority of his personality. That silly, playful, over-the-top nature Karnage has absolutely would rub off on the boy as he grew up. But, to balance that, Furlock got most of his practical education from Wolf. Not to say that Wolf doesn't know how to cut loose and be silly, mind you! Just that when something NEEDS to be taken care of, Wolf is the one to usually do it... unless he can trick Karnage into doing it for him. XD
I haven't really thought much about Furlock as a teenager, mostly because I'm not interested in that particular "form" of him. I feel like at that point he'd spend less time in a traditional school setting, and more time helping his dad and papa with various things, maybe like certain aspects of missions that were less dangerous. Spying on places to steal from for Karnage and watching a radar for Wolf, I suppose.
Regards to less fetish-y stuff with both Furlock and Baralock, you'll be happy to know that I have a bunch of fun ideas all planned out. Just needing to get them drawn up at some point when I have more money.
You'll ALSO be delighted to hear that I'm in the middle of a Baralock redesign, with TONS of references and *13* different outfits he'd be wearing in different "situations" he'd wind up in. I'm really excited about this as a project, as it's serving to fully flesh out the character as more than just a fun idea to fill a gap.
Hopefully that gives you something to look forward to. I post a lot more art stuff on Twitter than I do here, but at SOME point I'll get around to posting stuff I haven't put up here yet.

Yeah, I'll definitely make it a point to post the stuff here. I'll be sure to let you know when I do!
Oh my gosh, that's so sweet of you to consider! Thank you so much!
