so for my second attempt at colored pencils... it could've been worse.
i realized once i paid attention to the direction of the fur, the lines on the forehead made no sense, and that color brings out the different sizes of the pupils. also learned that white charcoal is not a good substitute for the white colored pencil.
i think i may have pressed the pencil too hard when trying to build up the fur, which contributes to the lined appearance. the light and shadows are also hard for me to get a grasp on when drawing the fur. the brown i used just looks like fur and not a shadow.
i'm considering purchasing a solvent of some sort to help blend the colors since using pressure doesn't seem to be working for me, or perhaps it's a skill thing?
