I needed poison/toxic type monsters for my 'Never Work With Monsters' comic project so here we go.
Clay is an upright-walking crocodillian with hardened toxic mud fused to her outer skin. She herself is immune to the toxic mud (and a lot of other toxic substances), but other monsters are not - allowing her to use the toxic mud as an offensive weapon in various ways. She can also release chemicals through her skin which cause the hardened mud to selectively break down and release a noxious smog and other toxic gases.
Poison or toxic-type monsters are not intrinsically evil, though - I feel I need to make a point of that. Clay is just a product of her environment.
Wow. Got dangerously close to some hella deep territory there.
Comments are always welcome - and I like answering questions about my monster designs so if you have anything to ask, please do.

She's pretty tough-looking, really. Not somebody you'd want to get on the wrong side of.
That's kind of you to say, but really I've been creating characters for a long time now. I guess there are certain patterns of logic which lead to 'good ideas'. All I've done is learn how to apply the 'good logic' and chuck out the 'bad ideas'.
...but then I've also argued in the past that bad ideas can lead to good concepts. So I dunno, swings and roundabouts.

It's always hard being a walking bio-hazard. Anyone who looks past the toxins is a friend she more than deserves.
