This is a collaboration between myself and 
melo666 whom did the beautiful sketch I had the honor of coloring. Her original sketch can be seen at: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2201410/ . The piece has been in the works for a good while and eaten up a lot of my free hours, but in a good way of course!
This is yet another piece for the Pinup Portfolio organized by Sehkmet and Synnabar and will also be featured as the cover art. Something to do with the dexterousness (excuse my spelling) of cats? In most games, Dexterity determines how good you are with a bow. That might be it...I'm speculating, but now someone is going to make a dog an archer just because you said that.

Well, it's a compliment from the dog. Personally I'm not so pleased when he finds a deer carcase and gets that ecstatic look as he gets ready to drop his shoulder into it. :)

The lighting in this piece is amaaaazing... it creates such a great atmosphere. I love how you captured even the tiny motes of dust in the light beams. You two did a fantastic job on this @.@ :attempts to stop drooling and remove jaw from the floor:
I was about to say the same thing Kacey! The Rocks, Fur and snow and the back lighting of the feline are very well done. I took a close look and I saw the speckles of dust from the back lit background and I thought that was impressive as well :)

Just looking at what so many great srtists have said above me, I don't feel I can give an accurate description of juat how incredible this piece is. All I can do is congratulate both of you from the highest plateau and add this to my list of favorites.

I love this for two reasons.
1. It's a lynx :3 (Yes I'm biased haha)
2. It's some of the highest quality and most gorgeous furry artwork that I have run across. Drool worthy for the artistic quality alone.

very, very nice lighting and fur texturing on this, the amount of detail amazes me. I love how it has a truely organic feel to it too, almost photo realistic. fave and watch

I have nooo recollection of the layer settings xD. I think one of the rock layers was set to overlay and one to multiply.

okay, now that that's done. The detail in this piece is absolutely amazing. I'm afraid to ask what resolution you started in even XD the lighting, the dust IN the lighting. the pose, the fur. HOLY CRAP! i mean this is wonderful! you two did an excellent job from sketch to final product. And now that you've told me this collection will eventually be available online...heh, looks like i have a new goal of stuff to buy ^^;

No, no real reference, just generalized char descriptions... some general guidelines, like, (mostly?) melanistic (black spots on black fur [not blue!]), green eyes, digitigrade, fur on head not hair, etc.

Though I'm not seeing anything that actually looks like protective surfaces on the undersides, just support straps. Either way it's one of those kinds of thoughtful details I can appreciate. And no, I am not a foot fetishist -- it's just one of those things that breaks the illusion for me in many pics.

Very nice pic but the title reminds me of a culture Club song I like quite a bit.

An incredible piece of art, really quite magnificent.
However the head of brown hair seems incongruous to the rest of the piece; I think it's the realism that makes it seem strange.

Again a pretty nice picture of a lynx. It is also has a slight erotic attraction. The sketch and the coloring are perfect and both of you can be really proud of the outcome of the collab. The mountainscape in the far background and the vast landscape in between are just totally brilliant and I would love to visit that place myself. The design of the character and her accessoires are damn great too. I like these gauntlets at her paws and the clothes at all. ^^
