Except for Gravity Falls, Thundercats, My Little Pony, Archer, Troll Hunters, and every other cartoon that does have continuity. Anime and cartoons are defined by their art styles and tropes, not their structure.
Well Gravity Falls and Thundercats yes, My Little Pony is... Somewhat going on a poor path in my opinion despite I still watch the new episodes, I've never seen Archer nor Troll Hunters for they don't interest me.

I haven't watched a lot of RWBY. I really need too get onto it though. The most I watch from Rooster Teeth is Red vs Blue which Ironically I got into because I saw a trailer for the Recollection that had The Late Great Monty Oum's animation in it. RIP Monty he was a great talent.
It was a rough ride after he died, but thankfully his successors are starting to get really good at fighting scenes. In some ways the fights are better; Monty was always more about style over substance, so there wasn't often a sense of danger for any of the fighters. Nowadays the fights have a bit more weight, though without the impact Monty was so good at presenting. But we'll get there.
