In this AU, there was so much food in the Pridelands that no one wanted to depose the ruling monarch and Scar was just grumpy rather than murderously ambitious and everyone lived fat and happy ever after. <3
actually, if you read one of the original drafts for the lion king, scar was portrayed as a brute. he also snapped mufasa's neck in his jaws. that was a thing that almost happened. XD
